World Series: Texas Rangers vs. St. Louis Cardinals

I had this game penciled in as a loss when I saw to schedule. We're actually lucky to only be down 4.
Plus our entire line up is pressing like hell and chasing everything.

How dare you make such a statement! He knows more about baseball than anyone. He's a Cardinals fan afterall.

I doubt many Cards fans had us winning with E Jax on the bump.
He throws a great BP.

And our line up showed zero patience at the plate. Can't remember the last time I saw them press like they did tonight. Holland took advantage of it, like good pitchersd do.

Yeah... I have no idea about some of these pitchers, so I'm just watching for the sake of watching. Last nights game was more of what I was expecting. The other 3 games lacked offense. Thought there would be more

Hopefully Carp can have his typical outing tonight and Tony can have our lineup not chase every daammned pitch and not press so hard and we will get the win tonight.

Guessing whoever wins tonight, wins it all. Winning two games in a row appears to be a tall order in this series. Not sure either team would allow the other to come back down 3-2 and win two in a row. Rangers definitely don't want to be down 3-2 with the final two in St. Louis

While I agree the game tonight is very big. But I'd say it's bigger for the Rangers. I won't be happy if we lose tonight because that will mean our Ace got beat and we'll head home down 1.
But I won't think we're out if we do.

Nah, neither team is out of it if they lose tonight. With the way the series has gone back and forth, I just wouldn't like the odds of either team winning two in a row, down 3-2

Anything can happen of course. But I like the Cards chances being dowm 3-2 a lot more than I would the Rangers.
If the Birds win tonight I think you can close the door on the Rangers season.

Agree about it being more important for the rangers. I don't see pooholes or the rest of the cards lineup going more than a game without a serious offensive outburst.

Last night was brutal to watch. No knock on Holland as the dude threw well. But Berkman was about the only hitter not pressing. It looked like each batter was trying to go yard with each swing. Maybe Alberts career night got them excited.
Hopefully TL yanked a knot in their butts and we see a lot more patients tonight. Hopefully they learned from last night.

Rangers have a better lineup. Cards are fortunate that Hamilton is banged up.

When that left Napoli's bat I thought he had blown the game open

I don't watch much baseball anymore. Is Punto an unbelievable defensive player? He doesn't appear to bring much offensively. I see switch hitting, but I don't see power, speed or the ability to slap the ball around.
And why did they just try to steal there. That was stupid.

He's a solid defensive player. There is no reason he should be used in anything more than a utility role, though
