World Series: Texas Rangers vs. St. Louis Cardinals

He does take the blame. And I disagree with you on your opinion about managers. I've read your garbage posts in the past.

My garbage posts?

Major League managers are glorified baby sitters. They, in most situations, can only hurt a team. As long as they have a sharpie, a cup of coffee and can keep the train from wobbling off track then they have a job.

If you don't think Tony laRussa loves both credit and a camera, then you have proved beyond infinity that your Guru tag is laughable.

The fact someone who posts such idiotic posts like you questions me proves to me I'm spot on.

And ANYONE who has watched TL, especially his time in STL will tell you his disdain for doing interviews. He's even gotten in trouble for how he treats the media. So keep telling those of us who know just how wrong we are.

And that works for your POS Yankees who have made a living off of buying their way to post season but in the real world of baseball a great manager makes a HUGE impact.

Talk to players that have played for TLR. Ask them what they think about him. I will guarantee you one of the very first things you will ever hear come out of their mouth, Guru, is that he's a "look at me" guy. Tony loves Tony. And Tony loves being seen. Plain and simple.

Loving being in front of a camera and hating interviews are not the same thing.

Bob Brenly, Bob Lemon and Joe Altobelli agree.

Whatever. Believe what you want and I have spent time with some of his former and even current players. He's a hard ass but they for the most part love the guy.

So keep up your garbage posts.

And so have I. And I've not met one yet that doesn't think the guy is concerned with anything but himself.

Some guru...

Whom? Whom have you spoken to, as far as current and former players? Just curious.

Probably 30 former players and a handful of current. Not just meeting them. I've met almost the entire current roster. But I've spent considerable time with several and fish and hunt with some current and former players as well.
Trust me the NY garbage poster doesn't know dick about what he's saying.

No comment on the poster. He doesn't like me. However, I think you are full of it, unless you played college/minor ball, or are involved with an agency. I have done both, yet only know a few players and the agents for some. It doesn't matter anyway, no manager is immune to mistakes.

Ray Smith would be a wonderful first call for you to ask about Tony LaRussa.

I don't hate you. I just wouldn't ever put you on a weedeater. That's all.

That's where you'd be wrong. If I'm sitting on a 12k mower, some grass is getting obliterated.

Along with shrubbery, gutters and water meters?

If I'm on the gutters, its more powerful weed than I can handle anyway. I've never been that high.
**** shrubbery though.

Had a guy hit a gutter today. Metal shards everywhere.

I never said every player or every former player loves him. But the same can be said of every coach/mgr at every level.
The guys I know for the most part respect him a lot and most really like him.
