And I'm telling you a whole other side. There is a guy in the Cardinals clubhouse today who wouldn't piss on LaRussa's burning body. Another player's exact quote to me was that the moment one "realized Tony is only about Tony, the sooner he's tolerable." Both are well liked in the clubhouse.

Will there be players that like and dislike managers? You betcha. But there are many that flat out can't stand the guy. Doesn't detract from his record, which is a whole other story, nor should it knock him off your pedestal. Pretending you're the only person who has ever spoken to a major leaguer is just crazy.

Never said I was the only one. But I know a lot of Cards and former Cards.
Personally I don't like Tony, he's hard to be around at times. But the majority I know like him and respect him.
By the way, the player in the bigs I'm closest to and deer hunt with doesn't even play for the Cards. The Cards knocked him out of post season.

I had this game penciled in as a loss when I saw to schedule. We're actually lucky to only be down 4.
Plus our entire line up is pressing like hell and chasing everything.
