Considering this may well be the best class Butch will sign, I will guess it won't be the worst class. Isn't it currently around a top 10 class as it stands now? How can it be the worst?

Current team rankings has UT:

9 Rivals
9 Scout
11 247

So an average ranking currently of 9.67 between those 3 services. That's currently top 10.

I'm confused by the OPs post/question.....

Oh yeah, a class with Smith, Chandler, Gray, Ignont, Butler, Murphy, Crosby and potentially soon to have Cam Akers is horrible!

We are the worst fan base bc we don't settle for mediocrity? Being okay with underachieving and being just decent would make us a good fan base? I don't think the worst fan base in America would fill up over 100 grand every game and sell out the bowl game to watch our boys and their duck for a coach play a meaningless bowl game.

Technically speaking 8-4 with a chance to be 9-4 is better than mediocre. When I think mediocre I think 6-6 7-5. That's an average team.....

Yep, the same people that apologize for every 3 star, will complain later about why the Vols come up short in the SEC East.

I believe those ranking are from quantity, not quality. As other schools fill their classes up, we will drop in the rankings.

The true worth of a class isn't known for years some classes have looked great on paper and have been flops while others have been lackluster but included several starters. It's a silly post by stargazers someone's offer list is much more important.

It's not a bad class at all, actually. But it could certainly be much better. Losing to SC and Vandy hurts. Currently top 10 in the nation and #2 in the SECE, will add Corker in two days, he has a very good offer list and is underrated just like Johnson, Butler, Crosby and Reid. Is it on Bama's level? No but until Saban retires no one in the SEC will recruit like them consistently.

Should finish around 15th but if we add Akers and Ray this class becomes much better, closer to top 10. I think it's very possible as well.

Actually since Butch has been here it's been the opposite, it's been we won't finish in the top 10 or even top 12 only for us to do just that. I repeat this will be a top 12 class at the least and more than likely a top 10 class. GBO!!!!!

'14 and '15 were top 10 classes throughout.

Last year? Will finish top 15 last year was 15th, so yeah last year. So yes I agree with others. Ignorant thread.
