This is the key to all the hysteria. People who watch 5 games a year and only in seasons where we’re ranked so they don’t have any idea how a college basketball season worksI guess you don’t pay attention when the team isn’t as good? Georgetown 2012 was WORLDS worse than this game.
Actually its 40. But with no real posts, 3pt shooting is our game. Out of 40, 30 or so were absolutely wide open.6 of 39, but who's counting? And yet, the team we played against was nearly as inept (4-24).
It really is quite unbelievable that two, high-level teams could both be that awful on the same night. They were a combined 10-63 from 3. Sheesh...
Lmao spot on. It’s not like we think tonight’s game went well or was fun to watch. But does it make it any less likely that this team can make a run in the post season? Does it have any bearing on how they play in the SEC? Absolutely not. When you look back at the end of the year, losses like this in CBB are, many times, a blessing in disguise. This is the key to all the hysteria. Like, tonight’s performance wasn’t good, but it’s kinda like in politics where I wanna criticize a politician for being a bit corrupt but everybody around me is calling them a child eating Satanist and I end up spending more time defending something I disapprove of than actually criticizing it because others’ criticism is so outta hand
Yeah but that was back whenever teams got a small lead and just held the ball until someone decided to foul. That was the whole reason the shot clock came about. It was poor sportsmanship.I remember Vols vs Temple in 1973. Before the shot clock and 3 point line. Ugliest game ever. 11-6 was the final. But at least they hit some of their shots.
Yes. Georgetown 2012. Did you only watch when we are preseason top 25 or are you seven?
