At least you guys do get to listen to some UT radio. I'm stuck here in Alabama listening to Alabama and Auburn homers here in Mobile! That's why I get on here so much just to see what's going on.

Im in Montgomery so i know what you mean. I listen to TSR on the Tunein radio app or the TSR app.

Im stuck in al as well.....i download the Tsr ap for the phone..then plug in radio. Works good

Basilio is entertaining. Heather talks through her nose and Hooker giggles all the time. Pennington is the worst, an arrogant know it all.

The TSR app is awesome for anybody outside of Knoxville. U can listen live or listen to podcast a few hrs after if u miss the ones u like. When I work 3rd shift this is how I listen to the podcast.
(Best to worst IMO)
1.Ainge
2.Swain
3.Hooker
4. Football time (when it's on)
5.The Show (Treece and Steve)
They're all good shows IMO
Also Doug Matthews on Sunday morning is the most informational show I've ever heard.

Yeah that's when I just start switching back and forth between dof, jef, and hether, and aingy. It's a intelligence race between the two shows and they are both out of breath.

This thread reminds me that the sporst talk is one thing I do NOT miss about the Knoxville area. Chattanooga has ESPN radio and Fox Sports radio, so I can listen to Mike and Mike and Dan Patrick every day. They dont talk nonstop UT, but the shows are SOOOO much better.

Its nice.....and rare to find a thread where theirs so many in agreement....in this particular case that the quality of sports journalism is Knoxville is bad....the only decent one that comes to mind is John Wilkerson...he's knowledgeable...steady....with little if any pretense....

Heather is terrible and Jeff is a lap dog. Josh and Will think they are national personalities and pro sports is all they care about.

John and Jimmy have the best show but Hubbs is by far the best.

Whoa. Could not disagree more. 2nd worst only to D, J, & H. Jimmy Hyams is about as bad as they come.

im in the minority but i respect and enjoy jimmy hyams. hes intelligent. listening to john wilkerson do his best to make a tennessee baseball game sound interesting over the radio is also interesting.

matthews is good. but, thats nashville. i legitimaty get sick when i hear mickey dearstone. hes in love with himself on air, and its horrible. just a dog and pony show. hooker is the same way

Me too. I'm surprised at the hate for Hyams here. Hyams, Wilkerson, and West were the three personalities I thought were the most proffesional when I was listening to Knoxville radio, but I haven't listened to it in 4 years. Things may have changed somewhat during that span. One thing remains, though: Doc, Jeff, and Heather in the morning is simply awful.

Still not nearly as annoying and painful as listening to Heather whine. Some of the others people have named are ignorant and annoying but her voice itself is like nails on a chalkboard to me.
