I also think Charlie Strong has a chip on his shoulder with Florida. Being looked over for the head coach there. I think he would be good for Tennessee.

That would be impossible since he murdered Kentucky this year. Pretty sure he beat them last year too.

I apologize I was refering to his record as a Head Coach. He did coach the Florida Gators in a bowl game prior to being hired at Louisville.

Nope... We need a BIG time proven winner! Strong could be another Dooley. :loco:

So, based on your quote in another thread, what has Gruden done in the college level to make you think he's a big time proven winner?

I'm pretty sure it's gonna be Gruden... They just can't announce anything due to his ESPN contract. It'll be a few more weeks I'm afraid. :). Anybody less than Gruden would be another Dooley.

Serious question.

He's just average. We deserve better, but oh well, our sports are just going down hill.

He may not be the answer but he has performed well at L'ville.

If he could bring his defensive skill and hold on to the current O staff then it could be good.

Right, because Dooley also won 10 games and took a team to a BCS game......... Get serious, dude.
Wins over Kentucky, Missouri State, North Carolina, FIU, Southern Miss, Pitt, South Florida, Cincinnati, Temple and Rutgers.

Lost to Syracuse and UConn

I'm not trying diminish what Strong did at Louisville.....well, yeah I am.

yes. I'm ready for Strong. Good defensive coach. All I hope is that he gets a good OC to get the offense scoring. I would be fine if Charlie kept what we got.

I would assume a championship SEC coordinator who took another team to a BCS bowl is a pretty sure bet. Based on resume alone, Charlie Strong would have the third best among SEC coaches who were hired by their team behind Saban and Spurrier. Yet people are complaining?
