Interesting stuff on swain event today. Malone is acting like a premadonna. My words not Swain's or Seth's. Speculation that one of the reasons he came here was Riley. He was shown Riley film to help be convinced that UT would have a future strong QB. Now that Riley is gone, Malone isn't happy. Can anyone really blame him? He is a freak WR and has to work with subpar QBs. I wouldn't be surprised if something happens this year or next, considering our bad QB play and our depth at WR

Wow this has been enlightening! Can't wait for the season to begin! We're all like a bunch of hungry dogs that have been locked up, not fed, and the hear the dinner bell. We're ready to attack and kill each other than get the food. That's what I suspect Butch Jones is doing with this team. He's laying the mental foundation for these young men as a lot of them haven't been really tested yet. They are going to be sick of his mind games, sick of seeing each other, angry, mentally tested in practice and When these young men hit the field for Utah State I suspect they will be ready to run right over and through them.

Football common sense is playing out and some of you are not seeing it. If you have an elite team of individuals and you praise them all the time, where would their urgency to become a better player in the off season be? If I remember correctly CBJ is holding them not to a bowl game win but to a championship team standard. You dont go from 5-7 to a 12-0 team with a coach that believes that the current and past efforts are okay. Look at Saban is that guy ever happy with his teams efforts until he holds the trophy and then he might crack a smile before taking a week off and starts planning and recruiting for the next year.

For one, our QB play has been what caused a few losses last year if not more. It shows when you have 2-3 good plays all season that everyone is still talking about that were some of the only QB throws that kept us in a game. To close this position too early, would be dumb and could cause the starter to become complacent right before the season. Theres no doubt though that the QB of Butch's interest is getting a majority of the snaps.

Also I saw a reference to another team that is going through the same thing with their QBs and said thats its caused locker room problems. If you were a coach wouldnt you rather have locker room problems now than during the season if tempers do happen to fly. What if they decided to take worley out in the 2nd half of the Utah St game, you dont want him acting a fool. You want him to know that CBJ is going to put the best player in for the best scenario, and wait and work like a professional athlete to get back in the starting role.

I couldn't agree more. Things are looking up for us this year, still gonna be tough this season but the talent upgrades are legit and the long term future is brighter than ever. Yet, it's like people are looking for a reason to get down in the dumps OR bite fellow one another's heads off for no reason.

Our schedule and our oline will give us enough heartache without us manufacturing it ourselves.
