This is silly. Alabama's wheels aren't anywhere close to falling off. The sentiment around here has quickly gone from absurdly pessimistic to absurdly delusional.

And as for former players speaking their minds, I don't mind it. They've earned that right and have a better grasp on the culture than we do. Besides.... I remember Crompton and Ainge hammering JG on more than one occasion.
Alabama is slipping and Nick Saban is like later years Bear Bryant. No need to build up Alabama;)

I'm sorry to say it, but bama is not going anywhere as long as Saban is there. Have you seen the recruiting commitments list for '23? They'll be loaded
for years to come. Usually, a head coach and his staff burns out--it certainly happened to Fulmer and his crew--but it hasn't happened to Saban. It might be because his staff has changed frequently as is coordinators have gotten hired by other programs; the turnover, ironically, keeps the program somewhat fresh, whereas Fulmer kept his core staff for many years and it and the program just got stale and fell into a funk after about a decade of success.

The transfer portal has changed the game. It has allowed other teams to acquire talent that otherwise would be stockpiled on the bench of other programs and helped to make them more competitive. Also, when they expand the playoff number to 12 this will help to dilute the talent pool even more because more programs will be able to sell post season success to recruits.

Here's the thing. You can't change coordinators every one , two years and stay on top..Yes I know Sabans got away with it for a long time but sooner or later this will bite your ass.
I still expect to see them lose again..Their in a funk and a second loss might come Saturday.

Correct, and those big recruiting classes can jump ship at anytime.

It would be cool if this Alabama team unraveled following the Tennessee loss like the 1982 team did. I think this Alabama team will finish 10-2 and go to either the Cotton,Sugar or Orange Bowl.

I hope Bama blows them out. I hope they blow everyone out up untill the Ole Miss game. Let em start smelling that trophy
then Ole Lane jerks it right out from under their nose. The whole state of Alabama will s*** their self. They will tear Sabens Statue down in Birmingham.
They've lost 2 regular season games before under Saban. I seriously doubt all that would happen

I mean at some point everyone is going to realize he was not the world's greatest coach he just had the greatest assimilation of college talent. The very same is happening to Belichick without Brady.
He excels at finding and recruiting talent, both coaching talent and playing talent. I don’t know that he’s an elite gameday coach, but he’s been so good at those other two things that he hasn’t had to be. Heck, Fulmer won a championship and had a 75% win percentage from just being good at one of those two things (and lucking into having Cutcliffe and Chief). Hard to keep reloading those coaches year after year, even harder than it is to keep players. It’s amazing he’s kept it going this long.

I think it started with Texas. This don't look like a Saben coached team no way or fashion.
I do agree, that this Bama team does not look like a normal Saban coached team, but that is what they said when he lost in back to back years to Ole Miss.

Never seen bama with saban lose to UT. You have no idea how they will respond..... they're crushed down here. Still taking about the L, Refs and firing coordinators. I hope they keep talking about it until Saturday and drop another.
I do as well, maybe we are seeing the beginning of the end of Saban, there is a a Big Orange chink in his Crimson armor now!!!!!!

I think their defense is porous this season and they will stumble into a loss to Ole Miss that will knock them out of the SECCG and into a New Year's Six Bowl Game.
There is a opportunity for Tennessee to get into the SECG against Ole Miss for Mustard Bowl Part Deux sponsored by Top Golf!

I'm telling you one or two more losses and the wheels will fall off that program. I don't think I've ever seen our former players talk about current players like this.

https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxtEdi_mQUVTjIk58xY86G16Cx0p5VfTry

He had a good point. He was using his badass defense line to attack and make plays behind the line of scrimmage.

Throughout his career, regardless of the quality of defensive line in front of him, Henry T has generally used it as a place to hide. He likes to play in space. He likes to be in on the second wave of a scrum when the process is about over.

He doesn't like getting straight in to the fight. And rarely has ever done so on a consistent basis.

The man wasn't worthy of licking the soles of the shoes of even the most average of our best inside linebackers.

My best friend’s kid is being recruited by them and they had a visit with Saban recently. My friend, who is no fan of Bama and wants his kid to play elsewhere, said Saban is on a different level than every other coach out there that they’ve visited with.

An amazing strategist, but before the game, not specifically during the game.

On a different level in what regard?

What did your friend mean, exactly? Did he lay out in detail what it was that put Saban on a different level?

You think they cant hide their crazy now? Wait till they have to actually do a coaching search. It will be an epic comedy from our perspective.
