Wow, Mike Constant talking big trash about T'oo T'oo

People have always talked about how Saban always reloads his staff, no matter who leaves. The lack of discipline indicates that this staff may be a drop off from previous ones. O’Brien is ok, but he could get an offer to be a head coach, and Golding will likely be gone. That defense won’t carry them to the NC.

Here's the thing. You can't change coordinators every one , two years and stay on top..Yes I know Sabans got away with it for a long time but sooner or later this will bite your ass.
I still expect to see them lose again..Their in a funk and a second loss might come Saturday.
To Miss State at home? I highly doubt it. They have a way of answering the bell. I would love to see them collapse. It never happens.

Alabama should have lost to Auburn last year. Their offense was terrible in that game. It was an early Christmas present from Bryan Harsin. So what happens the very next week? They dominate Georgia from start to finish in the SEC Championship Game. Their offense suddenly turned into the '07 Patriots. That's just how this works.

What did your friend mean, exactly? Did he lay out in detail what it was that put Saban on a different level?

Saban’s level of detail and preparation and how he doesn’t try to wow recruits like other coaches. Other coaches are trying to sell their program to recruits, Nick pretty much tries to get the recruit to sell themselves to him. He was the only coach who told my friend’s son “we’ll continue to evaluate you and see if you might be a good fit for what we do here”. Every other coach is out there making promises of stardom. Not Nick. Crazy thing is how effective that pitch is with the right kid. My friend’s son now wants to go there.

Listen to the beginning of Josh Pate's show tonight. He talked about it. Bama won't just suddenly collapse. It'll happen gradually. We might look back on this in 5 years and say this is where it started.

And how awesome would it be to look back in 5 years and realize UT’s win this year was the start of ruining Bama. Hell, their fans are still angry at Fulmer and they blame him for the last crash and burn of that program. I do have to say that I really enjoyed the Saban meltdown on the sidelines.

Ah, thanks.

Seems related to the paradoxical trick politicians use: you can make someone like you more by asking them to do a small favor for you. You ask them for a favor, and they like you more. I learned that one from a couple of politicians in North Carolina.

Saban holds up a bar and tells the recruit they're going to need to leap it, and the recruit wants to go there more.

Gotta be related, psychologically.

Vols ushered Spurrier towards the door, it's only fitting to help Lil' Nicky find his way out as well....

The wheels on the bus go falling off, let the dumpster burn!

Agree. Losses or near losses have always seemed to refocus Saban and the team to play up to their potential. I think the difference this year is that they don't have good O and D coordinators. I look for both of them to be replaced next year. Their defense fell off when Pruitt left and Offense hasn't looked as good since Sark left.

The comment from a Bama player about them having anxiety for this game……that comes from Saban. He was worried about this game, and that caused the team to worry. Mark it down, he’s gone in less than 3 years. The job has finally gotten to him.

BINGO! When the coach is tight as hell, players sense that and Saban was tight as hell........ John Majors would have been proud of him.

Alabama has lost a lot of coaches during Saban's time there. I have always been curious if some of that is due to the coaches not accepting Saban and his expectations.

Successful people sometimes have a major issue with someone that is not as driven as they are. They can be harshly critical of a less driven person. A coach that leaves because of that wouldn't state it, because it would reflect poorly upon them. I don't have an example or any insider information, but I have often wondered if that might be the case sometimes.

"Last time I played Tennessee, I had damn seventeen tackles and a sack".

Of course he doesn't mention that Tennessee won the game 21-7.

Ole Marvin never beat Tennessee. I remember that game. The gumps were fairly optimistic and they got absolutely dominated.

LSU is getting better. If it's a night game at death valley, they stand a punchers chance. We laid the blueprint, pin your ears back and get after the qb.

LSU secondary is weak and they dont have Hendon Hooker to make up for it.

It is a testament to good coaching that Alabama is always at their best after a loss. They will blow the doors off Mississippi State on Saturday.

NIL money is creating a talent parity that poor little Nicky (💰🚘💰) never had to deal with before.
Yes, but they still have the #1 rated class for 2023. I would love to see Alabama fade... and it will happen eventually - just not under Saban. I think some of you guys are kicking dirt on them prematurely.

One loss won't effect that recruiting class. A loss to lane, Brian Kelly or the pirate might. Not throwing dirt on bama but bama fading won't happen overnight.
