Love to have her but all of what made UT so great is no longer here (Pat Summit). Frankly we are living on her laurels and I don't see us improving that with the staff and team we have in place today. She WOULD make the team a bit better certainly. I wouldn't get my hopes up for her coming to K-town.
The original post from the SC fan made it sound like the path between Knoxville and Chattanooga is somehow more difficult than the path between Atlanta and Columbia. It isn't. Nobody said it is completely flat, but you're going to be going just as fast on I-75 to Knoxville as you are I-20 to Columbia. There is basically no steep grade at all to the trip at any point and there are not a lot of curves at all, unless you're like Volinvonore and you travel off the beaten path and want to add an hour to your trip. I just made the trip last month for the SECT.
There are mountains in North Georgia but more toward the Northeast of the state (i.e. the Chattahoochee National Forest). I don't consider those teeny, tiny, weakling little hills between Chattanooga and Atlanta to be "mountains". Let's not act as if it's like going across the Smokies toward Asheville, or even the Plateau toward Knoxville. It isn't even close, and the terrain doesn't come close to slowing your trip down.
Knoxville and Chattanooga both sit in a valley between the Appalachian Mountains and the Cumberland Plateau, with Chattanooga being more toward the edge of the Plateau. The Rocky Top you're talking about is the mountains around Knoxville (specifically the Smokies)...they aren't actually in Knoxville.

We have improved each year. I said going into this year that we were over rated and that proved to be true. But we were still better than the previous year. We are at the point now where we need to beat a legit top four team on the road. We may get a chance at SC this year, but I don't really count them since they are in our conference and the SEC is also over rated. Our bugaboo is playing poorly against the elite teams. We couldn't get over the hump this year in the regular season so we knew we weren't going to do anything in the tournament. We should not have been seeded anywhere near as high as we were.
Why so tough on Holly? She's recruiting just as well as Pat did. Anyone needs time to adjust to a new job.
well Cockhornleghorn so you know I am a Uconn fan first second tenn , I am always catching hell here lol I kinda dish it out you know a jab here a jab there,I can say truthfully most Tenn fans are polite. So be like the scouts ..be prepared lol. they hate my spelling too ..
Ruggy: You realize that /nobody/ can be both a UT fan and a UConn fan? You'd be the only such person in America. It is like somebody saying they are a fan of both Mich and Mich. State, or Kentucky and Louisville, or auburn and alabama. Nobody does that. Pick one: you're on a fence too wide to straddle!
