Good point...but Duke was pre-season #2, so my point kind of still stands.
I think Tennessee starting at #3 this past season was a reasonable expectation given what other teams lost and what Tennessee had coming back.
I just want to go n record and say as a Tar Heel fan we don't hate nor have any reason to hate or have any ill will against the Tennessee Volunteers. R ight now i just think alot of us are trying to figure out why she left, so by not getting any concrete answer or reasoning to why a player who had a great season a year before is transferring the next,we draw conclusion out of anger and frustration.
Now i read alot to what you guys were talking, to the Tennessee is tampering accusation as far as the silly notion to Te'a Cooper father could be paying her off to leave. Ive also seen moderators and members and administrators for our boards kill the idea of any of that, but believe something really weird is happening. And i agree to some extent , i don't think Tennessee is guilty of tampering nor Te'a father has anything to do with her leaving.
I nor any of us has any idea to why she is leaving, tho i think "happiness" was the furthest reason to her leaving, we are trying to figure out why and understand, but we have gotten very little answers to the truth on why she's gone. Now me myself i've taken a difference approach, i wished her well in the future and hope she seeks what she is looking for and have a bright career except when she plays Carolina offcourse. But as far as ill will i know i don't have any towards the Vols , i have great admiration and respect for Pat Summit , in fact i went on record to say she is the greatest coach to ever coach basketball, even if Geno succeeded her in wins as a coach, i have always believed no one will ever achieve and be as great as Pat Summit. Something that struck me as i read thru all your pages is a poster mention she's not leaving alone?
Thanks, seevaa. I really belive Tennessee has done nothing improper with Diamond. As I said in an earlier post, that is NOT Pat...and Holly has been molded by Pat. I belive she will always try to follow the same high standards.
Your coach and university have shown a lot of class in this whole process, just look at how K State is treating their player (who has a valid reason to request a transfer) and how UNC has acted towards DD. It is admirable.
And thanks for the kind words on CPS. No one will match her, certainly not pass her. Championships not withstanding, anyone else is only traveling a road some one else built for them, and Pat is the one who built the road and won while doing so.
Best of luck to your team (unless you play us!).
here we go again with the BS
also check your spelling I am always catching hell but for a UT grad ...wow
the thread is Wow!!shocked
Has nothing to do with CPS record or Geno record,so to make somewhat of a mistake by saying no one will ever pass CPS is truly wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!
CPS paved the road for women's basketball period.
Nobody will ever be as GREAT as her.
Any kind of news of the fact in the papers? I want believe it till I see a link or something of proof.
For what it's worth, can read anything on the internet, but see no reason to doubt it.

Everyone should dream I suppose .There is little doubt CPS
was great .Now there is a new sheriff in town and he seems to be doing what CPS did and much much more.
I do hope Holly brings the LV back from the dead, nothing would make me more happy to see the two teams play again.Remember to lose is to get better is it not?:good!:
Who cares if she married a girl? It sure doesn't affect her legacy she left at UT. The players' personal lives are the farthest thing we, as fans, should be worried about. I, for one, am glad she found happiness and someone to love in this world we live in. And she was a heck of a player for the Lady Vols. Who cares if she married a woman?
