LESSON !..
How to Be Grammatically Correct Most of the Time
There are many rules of English grammar to consider when ensuring that your writing is grammatically correct. Foundational writing lessons usually cover structural issues such sentence fragments and run-on sentences. For example, you have probably learned that sentences need to have both a subject and a verb. Other important topics are parallel construction (making sure that certain elements of a sentence match each other in form) and subject-verb agreement.

stay tune for Lesson 2,:whistling:

:birgits_giggle: I bet you didn't spew that crap off the top of your head. Where did you copy that from?

You don't travel through any mountains between Atlanta and Knoxville. It isn't like travelling between Knoxville and Nashville or Knoxville and Asheville.

Sorry, but you are wrong. The fastest route from Atlanta to Knoxville is 515 then go North to Copperhill, North to Tellico Plains, North to Madisonville, North to Maryville, and North to Knoxville. It is a beautiful drive anytime of the year.

Uh...the fastest route from Atlanta to Knoxville is I-75...and it isn't really close. The route you list is shorter, but it's definitely not quicker.

Really? What's this Rocky Top I keep hearing about? lol. I know it's nothing like going from Columbia to Knoxville, but compared to going between Columbia and Atlanta, dems be mountains.

No mountains between Knoxville and Atlanta, we drive it frequently. You may be thinking of Knoxville to Columbia. Definitely go over mountains there, especially in the NC section and then down the Saluda Grade. The only Rocky Top I know is in the GSMNP, and, if you want to see it, put on your hiking boots. 'Cause there's sure no road going to it, and iit is well worth the hike.

Rocky Top is toward the northeast. Hotlanta is south.

The original post from the SC fan made it sound like the path between Knoxville and Chattanooga is somehow more difficult than the path between Atlanta and Columbia. It isn't. Nobody said it is completely flat, but you're going to be going just as fast on I-75 to Knoxville as you are I-20 to Columbia. There is basically no steep grade at all to the trip at any point and there are not a lot of curves at all, unless you're like Volinvonore and you travel off the beaten path and want to add an hour to your trip. I just made the trip last month for the SECT.

There are mountains in North Georgia but more toward the Northeast of the state (i.e. the Chattahoochee National Forest). I don't consider those teeny, tiny, weakling little hills between Chattanooga and Atlanta to be "mountains". Let's not act as if it's like going across the Smokies toward Asheville, or even the Plateau toward Knoxville. It isn't even close, and the terrain doesn't come close to slowing your trip down.

Knoxville and Chattanooga both sit in a valley between the Appalachian Mountains and the Cumberland Plateau, with Chattanooga being more toward the edge of the Plateau. The Rocky Top you're talking about is the mountains around Knoxville (specifically the Smokies)...they aren't actually in Knoxville.

To her credit, she has pressed through completing her classes and following the NCAA rules and waiting until the semester is over to say where she is going. Her choice and her silence about that choose has rub a lot of people the wrong way. But at the end of the day, it's her choice.

I wish her the best of luck wherever she goes because she is a phenomenal talent. Be nice if its good ol' Rocky Top....

Welcome to the board. Post often. :hi:

Mountains, notwithstanding, there isn't an appreciable difference in mileage between Norcross and Knoxville and Norcross and Columbia. Columbia is only about 15-20 miles further.

Having spoken to several well-connected people over the last few days, I would be very surprised if DD ends up at USCe. Sounds like she knows where she wants to go. Also sounds like she and Cooper will almost certainly be college teammates....

So according to your sources, where is she going?
