there is no doubt that the Sharpton, Jackson, Wright, Farrakhan brand of preaching is far more lucrative than your vanilla "you're going to hell if you surf porn" style of ministry. The interesting story about all of this is how much Wright benefits from all of this. He is just like Jackson and Sharpton, pure capitalist.
The main reason they are in all of this.... $$$$$$$$$$

but only Wright is retiring to a 10,000 square ft., 1.6 million dollar mansion in one of Chicago's richest and whitest neighborhoods. He also has a 10 million dollar line of credit provided by TUCoC.

Are you saying he has no company? Are you saying Hagee, Falwell, Bakker, Swaggert, Robertson and a zillion others are any better?
Why anyone with a brain would care what some pastor says is beyond me. Lots of right wing BS trying to bring down a guy because of his pastor. To start a thread on it shows unbelievable stupidity.
ANYONE who voted for W TWICE should focus a little more on important issues and less on someone's dipshiit pastor.
I wonder how many of you southern baptists could stand up to such scrutiny if YOUR pastor's words had been examined so closely. Nevermind, you couldn't.

If my pastor had said anything close to what was spewed from Wright I would get up mid sermon and leave never to return. And by the way I, nor 99.999999999999% of the population is or ever will run for president. Just because you have an opinion on Obama's spiritual advisor's comments does not make you right wing or Republican my friend.

Agreed. But to think Obama's beliefs and values are aligned with Wright's is ludicrous
why? do you go to a church with a pastor whose beliefs and values are vastly different from yours? does anyone?
I choose a church based on the church and my particular denomination. Pastors come and go within a given church. And yes, I do go to a church where I don't agree with many of my pastor's political views. I am pro-choice and I am certain my pastor is anti-abortion. Should I leave the church???? Of course not.
I feel we shouldn't mix religion and politics. Many or most of you obviously do and most of you are conservative republicans which is reflective of your beliefs on Obama and his pastor. Your right and choice. Mine just happens to be different

Clearly Rev. Wright didn't get the message about mixing religion and politics.
As to this being someone's right and choice and yours being different - I agree. Not sure how it then qualifies as stupid and/or rightwing BS?

It's kinda odd, but I believe Hillary's camp has been the driving force behind much of this hoopla. Why anyone with a brain would care what some pastor says is beyond me. Lots of right wing BS trying to bring down a guy because of his pastor. To start a thread on it shows unbelievable stupidity.
