Wright's comments...

I see Obama rebuked Wright's comments today.

Conspiracy theory:

Wright purposely went off yesterday so Obama could come out today and distance himself from Wright. He messed up by not doing this when this initially came out so they had a "do over".

at least Obama isn't looking the other way.

Obama is also getting smacked around by Al Sharpton because he (Obama) called for calm in NYC and said that violence would accomplish nothing.

seems as though I remember Sharpton uh, I mean, Wright saying that Obama had to say that he disagrees with him to get elected POTUS.

That is correct..Wright says that he told Obama he would likely have to distance himself during the primary and Wright says that Obama agreed.

Well..that is why I worded it the way I did...however, Obama hasn't denied it as far as I know.
Obama hasn't addressed it, but if he does agree then the whole he's just being political argument sinks him. It would make his denial of knowledge about Wright's lunacy a complete fabrication. He's better off just letting it lie.

Well obama certainly can't now claim that wright basically made a couple of wackjob sermons back in the day and obama didn't know how he felt. It's ridiculous to think that obama doesn't know the feelings of someone he considers his close advisor and friend of 20 years when it is obvious the man is flat out racist. I can't believe the obama supporters just completely disregard this stuff. Talk about having your head stuck in the sand.

Yes, and the Obama supporters are in outright breakdown mode. They went on for weeks and weeks about how Wright said nothing wrong and even on Monday supported him. Then Tuesday Obama rebukes him and now they are confused as hell. Why would Obama rebuke a man that in their eyes has never said anything wrong?

That guy went on TV and made an a$$ of himself. Huge numbers of people in his congregation are aghast at his remarks he made on Monday (or sunday?). Obama isnt the only person in that church who got shocked by this and I think most people who let his dumb remarks over the years slide by are taking a second thought.

Huge numbers? According to what? I hear Obama supporters calling in with:

-Wright was set up
-Obama is being a politician(hence doing what he needs to do, inferring Wright said nothing wrong)
- Wright's timing was wrong. Again, not what he has said is wrong...just the wrong time for it.
