WWE Thread II

I'm just trying to figure out who Cena has buried. Let's revisit his recent feuds:

Rusev- In a love feud with Lana, Summer Rae and Ziggler. Only superstar I remember in recent memory to get spots every week, despite being out with a real injury. Ziggler is even off shooting a movie, I mean healing from a trachea injury caused by Rusev, and Rusev still main evented.

Lesnar- Became champ, headlined WrestleMania, headlined Battleground and is about to headline SummerSlam

The Shield- Reigns is in a big feud with Bray Wyatt and is the supposed actual future of the company. Ambrose has been featured each week and involved in some good storylines of his own (you could make the case he's not being used enough though). Rollins, well, he's only the WWE champion.

Bray Wyatt- Always loses, but he's supposed to be a bad guy (for now) and bad guys usually end up losing feuds. Gets the longest promo every Monday night.

Kevin Owens- Remains to be seen, but Cena gave a fresh out of NXT star prominent play for three months.

So, in summary, Cena definitely buries everybody.

I think Wyatt lost far more momentum losing to Taker than he did to anyone else honestly. Bryan exploded about the time they put him with the Wyatts (in fact when Bryan peeled off his overalls and turned on the Wyatts was him completely breaking through a bottleneck, one of his best moments IMO)

Had they had a win by DQ at Mania, or the match never finish, I think it would've been better since they wouldn't have him beat Taker. Or even if the next night they had Wyatt come out and say something like:

"I have done it. I have not raised the dead. I have raised the dead man. The monster that begat me has now realized his power once more and the fear of evil can be fostered in the world twofold. It is coming, and I have been the nutrients that has grown the flower of the sweetest fruit, revenge. I am no longer the only evil in this world, I am the forge of Frankenstein's monster."

And then he never mentions it again until right when Taker appeared for Lesnar, and he simply tweets out "I told you he was coming. Believe all of my words. They are Gospel."

Heels don't win feuds. It's never been a wrestling move. Ever.

Not exactly true. Heels win feuds; they just don't win them against a guy who is higher in the pecking order than they, which is what is happening here. Nobody is higher than Cena. You could say that Lesnar is higher than Cena, and, as a heel, has won his feud against him. At least at this point. It's probably not over yet.

Heel HHH's reign of terror in the early 00's is a good example of heels winning feuds.

That being said, if Cena is going to lose the US title, it will mean that somebody lower on the card will win the feud. The question is if it will be a heel or not. Could be a face, like Cesaro. Then again, the heel could win the title and Cena squashes him he next night on Raw just because Cena.

The "problem"with Cena is that there's 5 hrs of live TV and a PPV every month to fill. Top faces have never lost feuds, but feuds used to last 3-6 months instead of 1-2 PPV cycles. We'll see Cena in as many angles this year as a guy like Jerry Lawler had in 4-5 years.

Yeah but Cena has been doing the same **** for 10 years. Create new top faces. It's their job to do so.

They try and they either get hurt or the fans ***** and moan about the guy.

Bryan they couldn't help, but it was a pretty dumb move to try and make Reigns into a next top guy at this point in his career. He's probably the least seasoned person they've ever attempted into making a top guy, that I remember. So you gotta give the fans credit for that one. Being an entertainment company, sometimes trying isn't enough (ie people try their hardest to make good movies, but they still end up being bad). You are accountable to make the right moves.

Daniel Bryan may be back soon. He'd been cleared by doctors after suffering a concussion. Still waiting on WWE to clear him.

No one would complain if Cesaro were to become the top face I bet. Ambrose would be accepted. I know some dont like Ziggler but more people do than dont. Ryback has done his dues and is well liked. Only one of the four are injured. WWE Just has to pull the trigger on these guys. And kids and casual audience is way overrated. Hardcore wrestling fans out number the casuals. I don't buy the casuals are the majority crap anymore.

1. I'm sure someone would complain if Cesaro became the top face. Every wrestler is going to have critics and people that don't like him/her.

2. Hardcore wrestlers may outnumber casuals on the internet, but not at shows.

How much do you spend on a wrestling a month? How many shirts, action figures, video games, etc do you own?

1. Well I didn't literally mean no one. But lets be real, Cesaro is well liked by the hardcore base and casual base. 99% will enjoy it.

2. At shows minus Wrestlemania and shows in wrestling towns, yes. But so what? Casuals are just that, casuals. They will show up to wrestling regardless of who is on top. Sure maybe they're going to see Cena or Orton, but they don't care if they're champion or not. As long as they see them, they get what they want. Casuals shouldn't have a say more than the hardcore base who actually care about the position the wrestlers are in.
