WWE Thread III

Just no. I feel like you're trolling. You know there's countless ways to heel. Jericho got heat on himself against Reigns

I've gotta agree with crusse here. At the most basic level, a heel should deprive the fans of what the want (like when a heel rolls out of the ring to "catch his breath during a match). Last night the fans wanted to see either Rollins and Reigns brawl or Rollins out promo Reigns. He gave them neither. Had they fought the crowd would've cheered Seth. Had they spoke, anything Rollins would've said about winning his title back would've been cheered louder than anything Reigns would've said. Rollins is really swimming against the stream and trying his hardest to get any heat he can so Vince can continue to protect Roman.

Wouldn't that be the kind of inexplicable storyline switch that people constantly complain about? Why would he be a face when he spent the past two years tearing apart the Shield, kissing up to the Authority and playing a delusional, cowardly heel champion? For him to suddenly show back up and say "I love everybody. Now cheer." would be a little insulting.

All he would've had to do is come out for his return promo and thank the fans for all the well wishes and maybe apologize for letting the Authority boss him around. The time off would have helped with the consistency of that.

I think y'all are grossly underestimating Rollins' ability to sell himself as a heel.

I hadn't watched Raw in a month at least. Does Reigns still say that cheesy-ass line every single week?

He did say it last night.

And as far as Rollins coming back face, oUTlaw was on the right track. Have him come back pissed at the Authority, time rehabbing gave him time to think, yadda yadda. He doesn't have to say he loves the fans to get a face pop.

Cena comes back and his first target, one the bigger / newest guy in the company right now. I guess since the Wyatts have been buried and jobbed...I mean elevated... off of TV altogether, he needed the next faction to beat 1v3.

"The future stops at me" - John Cena. That was an actual line from Raw. Kudos on the work shoot. #newera

But hey, he does in fact care for America, Memorial Day, and all the troops. I mean what other wrestler could also do this and actually be genuine about it?! So much respect.

AJ Styles is about to be 0-4 in WWE fueds thanks to 45 year old company shill, who put over ****ing Fandango...Chris Jericho, Kevin Owens (fair enough), Roman Reigns, and John Cena. What a start.

I'm not. I believe he can be any type of heel WWE needs him to be. It's just in this case, Vince wants him to be the most annoying/bland kinda heel to remove any doubt in the fans' minds who they're supposed to cheer for in this feud. He's doing this cause he knows the fans will hate it which is what's needed to (try) to get Roman over.

Some of u all are acting like total marks . It's not what Rollins does better it's what does the company need him to do

I also think there establishing there main heels and faces for both shows .

IMO

Raw
Face- Reigns
Heel - Rollins

Smackdown

Face - Cena
Heel - AJ

It's always funny when people get mad and talk about Vince making mistakes... as they watch every week.

The same can be said of college football and the coaching decisions or athletic director hires, being critical, and still watching every week and every year for 10-20 years.

Funny. Funny.

I didn't say it was good, i said it was one of my favorite. Sting is my all time favorite and i loved the nWo. I enjoyed the **** out of that match.

I think that was my problem with it. The NWO and DX. It just turned into a WWE vs WCW thing all of sudden for no reason. I get they were going.for nostalgia but I just wasn't a fan I guess. Id much rather Sting just beat HHH and had a win at WM and that's all they had to do. All I could think about is this is Vince still taking shots at WCW a company he literally purchased. Just didn't see the point I guess.

So you watch it for company "politics", i watch it for enjoyment.

My issue with the Sting match was the notion that suddenly Nash and Hall and Hogan were friends with Sting when most of the WCW after the NWO appeared featured any combination of those 3 opposing Sting. Adding to that the idea that everyone knows Nash and Hall are great friend with HHH and it just fell flat to me
