WWE Thread III

My issue with the Sting match was the notion that suddenly Nash and Hall and Hogan were friends with Sting when most of the WCW after the NWO appeared featured any combination of those 3 opposing Sting. Adding to that the idea that everyone knows Nash and Hall are great friend with HHH and it just fell flat to me

Adding Hall and Nash did make it really weird. The Kliq went against each other with half of them teaming with a permanent rival? That part was useless. I still had no issue with Trips winning. I expected it. Why would Vince book the WCW vs WWE match and have any different turnout?

Sounds like Wyatt will be returning to live events next week. Is he the 7th MITB participant?

what's accomplished by Sting winning?

It's just a respectful thing to do and the fans wanted to see him win. There was just no reason for him to lose other than petty "I hate the fact you wouldn't come here until now" reasons. It just annoys me slightly when it's painfully obvious stupid politics get in the way of what should be done and what makes sense sometimes. It's just a criticism.

I don't watch for politics, but its hard not to notice said politicts and it can get in the way of enjoyment at times for me.

Its what you as a mark think should be done.

Sting is my all time favorite wrestler and it didn't bother me one bit that he lost, i doubt he even cares all that much.

we always talk about how you're supposed to "put guys over". Well, Mr. Shovels (that's Trips, or HHH) was being set up to put Rollins over with a change of plans to then get Reigns over. There was nothing Sting was going to do other than have his WWE moment. No one ever said or expected WWE moments to be wins. I don't understand why some think that the right thing to do was let Sting win. Letting Sting win would just further hurt other storylines.

Sting even stated that he thought WM was going to be his only match and (as gets stated by many on here) Sting says the right thing to do is put the other guy over. He says the same about Rollins and that he chose to walk through that door just to have the moment.

And Sting is literally right behind Jericho as my favorite all time wrestler.

Something to think about with Sting is I believe there were bigger plans than just one WM match. That one stands out because he got injured and decided to retire. had he not gotten hurt then I honestly don't think anyone remembers that loss when it is all said and done. It's just unfortunate that he got hurt before he could have another WM moment.

I would have loved for him to win but Sting's legacy is way larger than one match, even a WM match. JMO
