Kanye West's latest album Yeezus was officially released today. Thoughts?

I'm really digging it through the first listen.

I thought it was coming out tomorrow. Im gonna get it tomorrow. I always buy his cd's but i really haven't liked one too much since College Dropout, that is one of my favorite albums ever.

Kanye is a genius. Swift couldn't carry a tune in a bucket and she's about as good at guitar as Elvis was.

Kanye might be decent at rap but he is FAR from a genius man. He made that clear over the years.

Out of Kanye's six albums I'd say this one is the fifth best. This is of course all IMO but when he goes for a stripped-down sound and removes the complicated production values (his forte) then all you're left with are Kanye lyrics (not the greatest) which don't do it for me by themselves.

I will say that this will be endlessly remix-able by electronic DJs.

Kanye West is a genius. I'll never deviate from that.

He's an average rapper, but his production is second to none. That's his real genius.

I also think that part of his genius is having the balls to go a different route on every single album.

It would be so easy to just stick to a formula and make hit after hit, instead he changes his style, not just album to album but from song to song.

You can keep our garden variety bland music, I'll cast my lot with the risk takers.

She cannot sing, not in the sense that its impressive in anyway.

Being able to strum a G chord, D chord, C chord progression can be taught to a 4 year old.

She's void of talent and I would argue looks, I mean she's not ugly, she just average, just like her singing and guitar playing.

A different route? Lol, all of the albums are hip hop! If anything, Swift has Kanye beat on that one because she has legit country and legit pop.

I like some pop music. I like some country music. Swift is garbage. She's young, and she may develop into a true artist, but as of right now there is no depth to the music she creates. It's superficial. My 4 year old niece knows all the lyrics after listening to a song a few times.

Trying to compare Kanye to swift isn't even close. Kanye has done more in almost every facet of music than she has. yes, he's an *******, but most people in his line of work are.

And yes. Blood on the Leaves and Bound 2. Not even fair how good those two songs are.

I hate Kanye's personality. He's in his own world when it comes to social behavior. I actually did want to hate his music, but he's so good.
