My point was that I tired of hearing about the idea Ware would be a productive player at UT long before he reopened his recruitment. In fact, did so long before he ever signed a Letter of Intent. I forgot I had commented on him back when he initially committed. That said, pretty sure anyone around here paying a modicum of attention was pretty clear on my opinon of Ware's game long before he asked for his release.

The players playing in March madness are eligible based on classes ended in December, not the classes in March. That has been my understanding, which could be wrong.

Yes you win there. That doesn't explain your comment that you were telling us he was awful from day one. When, in fact, you were telling us how great he was on day one.

That's correct. Eligibility to play and the APR are two different issues. Tennessee will lose at least one APR point because Hopson wouldn't be eligible academically to play in the Fall semester. That's one of the components of the APR.

I'm pretty sure that would be about the only time I had much positive to say about Ware. If I don't remember making that post, why wouldn't I think everything I've said about him ranged from skeptical to critical?

Remind me why Higgins was decared ineligible so late in the year in 2003? He was eligible until the week of the SEC torunament. Was that based off prior semester grades?

That was an SEC rule that had something to do with hours passed toward one's major. He was eligible to play under the NCAA's standards.

Hat threads are always fun because the same folks always come out to discredit every word he says. It's incredibly entertaining when they actually do. They remind me of my 15 month old being so proud when he does something new, except not nearly as cute.
