Me, too. Isn't it funny how a little context and background make something taken in isolation seem so different?

For example, if someone said on one fine late spring day the US invaded France, trashed beaches, behaved like vikings, destroyed scenic overlooks, left piles of litter and debris on the beach ocean, then continued the rampage inland, you might immediately jump to "what a bunch of heathens". Now if you explained a bit about history to the uninitiated listener and mentioned this happened on June 4, 1944 and what it really meant, ... Context changes all.

BTW for those who might have missed, this particular crew of officials has previously had a two week suspension; and this year alone they've had another couple of major screw-ups - to include losing a down in a game - they manage to skip from second to fourth down.
