Your LEAST favorite bands/music

Nerd, you're my people.. I appreciate your post man

No problem. And don't get me wrong, I get what they are doing, they are trying to sell to more people. I would say that contemporary music as a whole is heavily influenced by electronic music and hip hop. I don't think it's a good thing for the longevity for any of the genres at all. Be it r&b or country.

If you know where to look, you can still find good country.

BTW, don't go looking for it on the radio. You'll get lost and maybe even punch your radio.

Anything good on sirius xm? I've recently started to venture out of the sports radio on satillite and so far I only like the grunge station lithium.

Sorry, I don't know. I cancelled my XM when I was going into Basic back in '09 and I just never renewed it. I use my iPod and Pandora these days.

Hell yeah, I saw that tour in Nashville. Norma Jean - I think Bless The Martyr, Kiss The Child is THE best hardcore album of all time. Josh Scogin left them for The Chariot, and Norma Jean sucked ever since IMO.

Bless the Martyr, Kiss the Child was/is awesome. Although I still listen to a lot of their newer stuff I like their old sound better.

Is there anyone out there today composing better music than Dylan, Lennon/McCartney, Bach, or John Prine?

Least favorite is country. I don't even know why it exists and it probably accounts for most suicides in the country (joking)

I like SOME rap but most of all i like older stuff like Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Doors, Floyd, also DMB is one of my all time favorites

Good call, but the videos for that stuff are strangely entertaining. The unintentional comedy of rednecks using fake accents, saying "whut" and "yeauh" repeatedly and contorting with weird hand gestures as if they're part of a street gang is usually good for a laugh.

For us that have never seen one could you post a video?

While I appreciate what Rush did musically….I can't stand most of their songs. Pretty much ditto with the Beatles and The Who.

If it is contemporary in any genre, I probably haven't heard it.

Rush is only popular because of Geddy Lee's incredible vocals and stunning handsomeness.

Ditto on the Beatles - they are tolerable but don't do anything for me.

I do like The Who though.
