Why would it be tacky to pay for your brother's college and help your alma mater get out of a slump at the same time? It would be a great story every time they stepped on the field. If I loved my alma mater and wanted to help them in anyway possible, seems like the best way to do it.

If you had bothered to read the discussion instead of just jumping on the bandwagon, you would know it was introduced as a hypothetical situation of the Berrys offering and not a suggestion or an implication that it be brought to the Berrys. Lol, still refusing to actually read. The likelihood of a billionaire to make a large donation is significantly more than a millionaire. That logic is why tthe greater likelihood of a voluntary donation is higher with EB, and that's why it was discussed more here than in TK's thread.

When did Eric Berry become a billionaire? If I knew this, I should have hit him for cash when I saw him at Ray's ESG several years ago.

Exactly. Or many others. The fact is, it's being discussed because many of our "fans" don't believe the Berry twins are worth a scholarship due to the numbers crunch. They try to pretend like it's just fun to talk about and guys like me should get over it. We don't see them in TKjr's or D. Bates threads, do we? Nope.

It depends on exactly how many spots we have. If we have less than 5 spots then IMO the berrys aren't in the top 4 of what I would take.

I think you have to look at the class as a totality. So, the real question is, are they in your top 30?

Yes they are but that isn't how it should work.

If they are silents the staff took a few too many commitments early on IMO.

If they haven't gotten on board for what ever reason their opportunity has past unless we strike out on that list I posted IMO

I would agree that those listed are great and at face value would be a tough call, but I take the Berry's for the intangibles.

The family message is important. The Berry's are important.

Why don't you ridiculous fans just chip in and pay their tuition yourselves, so they can walk on. How about a little patience and let CBJ do his job, the way he thinks is best for the program.
