🤔..Wonder what new staff's thoughts on UNIFORMS??

I went to my first UT game in 1992, when I was 12. Been a loyal fan for even longer than that. Still, I don’t get why so many people get their panties in a wad when the uniforms change. I couldn’t care less! As long as orange is the main color, let’s ride.

Exactly. An alternate uniform once a year, regardless of color, isn't going to hurt a thing and can actually inject some enthusiasm in the players and fans. Now if they attempted to permanently change colors or the power T then I could understand getting upset, sort of like the 49ers when they attempted to change their helmets in 91.

As I've stated on other uniform threads, once a season (Homecoming would be an excellent game) it would be great to pull a design from the past and wear it. It would be an salute to the past while appealing to those who like the alternate uni idea.

In a world of 4k TV I don't think it does much at home. I can see the augment in person. But, it just looks so bad. Like the black cleats, it was a practical choice, back in the day. But it just looks low rent now.
I agree. I don’t like the black outline, and I HATE the black cleats.

Black, gold, orange..The Tennessee Volunteer Knights Cavaliers Chevalier Bannerets! Yes. Bannerets!

Black hole black glow in the dark black light uniforms!

You DO UNDERSTAND that some here will not get the jib? GO BIG GLOW?

I would venture to say that we probably will wear some alt. uniform. It would be a great way to get recruits to be interested especially if we get any type of sanctions against us. It would be a great recruiting tool seeing as we will probably get hit with limited contact with recruits

Kinda fun.....................for 1 game

New uniforms. Put some Tennessee heritage in it to unite the state and do something wildly different. The only schools that desperately still cling to their traditions and do not deviate are UTK, UTA, Michigan, Penn State, and USC. And none of these schools have been relevant in the last decade. Get rid of the Majors maximums. Why? Because these kids have no idea who Johnny Majors is and they probably will never care. Same goes for Phil Fulmer. The university needs to do a better job of honoring legendary players and forget about coaches of Christmas Past.

I hope they are focusing on recruiting and not uniforms. That's the least of our worries.
Uniforms, culture, excitement and change are all tools and agents of recruiting. Combine a culture change, modern feel and the tradition of Tennessee (neyland stadium and the vol walk) with winning games and they’ll wake the sleeping giant once again.

Whatever the players are cool with and if it helps recruiting. Alternates are fun for the younger folks and that’s the generation that has never seen UT do jack crap.
Uniforms have nothing to do with recruiting. It all comes down to winners vs losers and what teams can get the player in the NFL.

Go ahead a tell yourself that,

No alternatives for me. Orange jerseys and white pants at home. On the road, I am a big believer is wearing as much orange as possible and I prefer orange pants and white jerseys.

Can someone please explain why some fans seem to care so much about uniforms? Not judging, just curious.
Why do buisness men care about their suits so much? Why do organizations spend millions to vet new logos and the like? Why did anyone care when Texas started using an interlocking UT logo that looked suspiciously like the one we were using at the time? Appearance matters.
