It was because of his age and some piss poor prosecution from what I have READ and actually discussed with those involved. The prison system is full of take no responsibity, it was their fault, onlookers.

We do not need this distraction. The ONLY way they should consider him is if the parents of the girl give their approval. I doubt that would happen, but until, and unless that happens, it will give us all a black eye.

Look. I can certainly see that there are stong feelings about this kid and this subject. I apologize to anyone who I might have offended. After thinking about this honestly some more, I would probably pass on him too. I hope that he turns his life around and repents for what he has done (the opinion says that he does not show remorse, which now changes my opinion of him). Sorry if I went overboard on my opinions.

This is what I'm talking about, if this guy's past can cause THIS on a Vol FANS message board, what is it going to do with a national media that's already itching for Lane Kiffin to do something more controversial than double parking?

Ok all this one the hood kid.. From what a few sources has told me is that.. Hood was around 13 years old, and his friend was around 17 almost 18 and was a local trouble maker that was also a gang member, and turns out now is a very dangerous person in prison, and during all this had told hood that he would Kill him if anything was said.. and that hood had no part in any of it besides not turning him in at that moment.. He was a kid, everyone needs to let this go. People change.. Everyone needs to forgive..I know its one of Gods hardest changelings for us is forgiveness but we all need to. He has changed into a very good student athlete and very religious young man. Good luck to this kid as a Tennessee vol!

I have been reading volnation for a while now, but never registered because I thought that I would waste too much time if I started posting on here. But I had to register for this one. How can anyone justify what this kid did? I don't care how old someone is, you learn not to rape people before you are 13. And to everyone who says that he just watched, how does that make it any less horrifying? If I saw someone plunger-raping my cousin, I would attack them like a wild animal. And I would punch them until I couldn't move my arms. Please Hamilton/Kiffin, don't let this be true. It isn't even confirmed that he is on the team, but this kid is already tearing our fanbase apart. Despite what other people have said, this is in no way a "feel good story." How sick are you if you feel good about this kid playing for the vols? The national media called for Kiffin to be fired before the season starts because he used a fog machine. You think he will be applauded for taking this kid? The bottom line is, he is already a huge distraction and controversy. This needs to be ended immediately. Do not let him on the team. Please.

He should have done something to try and stop this. He sat there and let this happen to his cousin, whom according to the court case, were very close. Um and yes he did have a part in it.

I want no part in him being a Tennessee Vol.

This is a disturbing situation, and I am glad I am not in the shoes of the coaches. As disgusted as I am by the actions of this young man, I must temper that disgust with the fact that he has served his ajudicated sentence. No, it does not change the fact that he committed a horrible crime, but in our criminal justice system he has completed his penance for his act. Just my .02.

I do not want this kid at UT. His actions were disgusting. he needs to be in jail, there is no reason he should still be on the streets
