Give me McElroy type numbers and I would be happy. That said the OL will be young and I think this a major concern although UGA has done a damn fine job starting and playing young OLs. 10 wins is pushing it next year maybe 2011.

I sure hope so. I mean JC was I believe the 3rd qb in his recruiting class. You just can't tell until they step foot on the field. I don't mean the practice field either, I mean the actual field in Neyland.

Because his size, arm strength, and descision making I am going to say he is a combination of Eric Ainge and Peyton Manning. All the articles I read on this kid lead to the assumption that he is going to be a great QB in this system. Only draw back is they say he runs a 5+ 40. I dont think that is true though because he does run some option type plays and roles out of the pocket on other plays. I think maybe a 4.6 or 4.7 40. Now with that out of the way. With Tyler Bray at QB and with this coaching staff. Is he the missing piece to this team. I think UT can be a 10+ win team with this kid at QB. I think we have enough weapons left over from Phil, the last recruit class, and with this class coming in to be that good next year. The kid can make all the throws from what I read and hear about him. I just want to get everyone elses feedback. Maybe if they know stuff other then what is wriiten. We dont get alot of news from Cali recruits in GA.

Absolutely no way to tell at this point.

Well Vol Nation there is going to be a answer soon for the QB situation because Tyler Bray is coming to town. When you see this guy throw the ball you are going to be amazed on his pin point accurace and the arm strength well lets just say a 60 yrd pass in the air is peanuts.:cool2:

Mr. Bray?

Ryan Mallet was a toothpick too..he didnt do too shabby as a freshman. Bray is very similar and is getting better and better

I'd be happy if Bray put up Casey Clausen like numbers. I'm sick of what we've got now.

If they surround him with guys like Witten, Stallworth, Washington, et al then he will. Shoot, even Fagan, Fayton, Hannon, or Tony Brown would automatically be the most talented WR on this particular team. If they surround him with guys like the current cast.... well...

I love Tyler and think he will be great at UT but it is confirmed that he runs like 5.4 or 5.5 40 per one of the official camps that tests guys. The guy is as slow as Christmas but has pretty good escapability and sees the field well. He actually looks pretty decent scrambling.

As long as he can move side to side in the pocket to escape pressure, I don't care what he runs the 40 yd. dash in. He was recruited to pick apart the D from the pocket...not to tuck it and run.

That being said, 5.4 is slower than most lineman...I hope that isn't true, just for the sake of athleticism everywhere

Tyler's 5.45 time is confirmed from the Army all american combine in Jan. 2009. He continues to work on his time and his time at the National underclassmen combine in May was 5.14. And right now he is right around the 5.0 mark, so it is getting better as continues to get stronger.

i remember when people were worried about another qb's lack of speed. name doesn't hit me right off, i want to say he wore number 16.

UT gets tyler and another top QB. Play next season with the best freshman and redshirt the other. (Stephens will be back-up) Next year's Freshman goes in the draft in 3 and redshirt takes over for two then goes to draft. UT will put two or three QBs into the league over the next 7 years.
