'10 CA S Dion Bailey

Hey guys the Lakewood connection I really think wants to stay together -- Childhood friends -- I belive all want to play as freshman --- Tennessee gives them the best shot as freshman to start!!! Rumor has it that Bailey will be at UT around the first weekend in August -- I hope so --- that connection would give UT along with our other recruits a shot at the SEC --- what do all of you think?

If those two committed to UT, it would start a chain reaction and OL like (Koenig, James, Stone, WR (Ambles,Milton, Prater), RB (Seastrunk,Dyer,Barr), and LB like (Luc, Kortt, McCay), will take heed and consider following very sonn possibly. This classes success on the Offensive side rides on the commitment of JS. And we need DB to learn from EB so after he leaves for the league, we'll have another to soon follow.

Jackson, Myles?

fair enough, I was just listing the two best(well at least perceived best, until they hit the field), and my two personal favs at that.

teague and oliver

Teague is a wild card. He's good with the ball in his hands but I think he's a Joe Haden type at corner. Not that Haden's the best corner out there. But I think Teague is somewhat similar to him in build and athleticism.

If you would read all I was saying was that DB could come learn from EB. All the guys you all have mentioned are all CBs except for Myles. I wasn't saying anything about depth, or who we have. We are talking about recruits here. Not players on the roster. Dion Bailey would be a nice addition to our Safety posiotion because that's were he plays.

Sab, there's things on why a kid chooses a school that we will never know in recruiting articles. The things that they say are things that get them noticed in there.

Bruce Feldman said on the radio that Scroggins told him the depth chart is his #1 concern. Pretty much backs up what I already thought. That seems to happen quite a lot around here.

I told you a long time ago, this kid is a competitor. He wants to play.

Even if Bailey comes to UT.....I highly doubt he will ever get to play with or learn from EB, unless Eric stops in at some UT practices in 2010, taking a break from being a top 10 NFL draft selection and millionaire.

He just said in another interview that "my main thing is academics and tradition.". So, it would appear that he's telling different people different things. We just can't go off of what these kids say a lot because it changes everyday.

Well we sin on all three of those dont we? So why should it matter? ha

Yeah right after USC camp Jesse was saying Depth chart was not a big deal to him. I remember the quotes. He has changed his story back now that the emotion of the offer has warn off. UF would be the best school if it is academics then USC then US. Tradition depends on what he means. If he means all time then us then USC but if he means recent it is USC and UF. Not much to go on really. I will say UF it is what my gut says. Or I had a vision of Rettig vs. Scroggins match ups in the future while sitting on the toilet. Where did our prophet go?

You flushed him down the toilet??

Recruits tell different things to different guys A LOT. Christian Jones just told me he had a top 3 of Florida, USC, and Oklahoma and an article just published today and he was quoted in saying Florida and Florida State led. Just goes to show you how fickle these kids are.

Didn't I tell you that sometime back?? :)

To a USC reporter asking him if he was concerned that USC just got Matt Barkley. Sometimes you have to look at the context of what these kids say.

You are reaching. I know you want him Sab but don't manipulate the facts to make it seem more likely. We have no clue right now is the state of affairs. We may not know until the 25th. :ermm:

How the heck is that reaching or "manipulting the facts"? What do you expect him to say when a reporter asks if Matt Barkley concerns him? Dude is a competitor. This isn't Evan Hailes we're talking about. He can't be expected to say anything other than what he did when presented with that question.

I am the quickest around here to predict a guy to another school if that's what I feel will happen. I don't "reach."

Exactly what facts did I manipulate? Prove it or don't say it.

Relax. Saying a guy only said something cuz he is a competitor is reaching. He said it plain and simple. There is your proof. If we are to accept your theory then it is equally valid that he said depth chart is his number one concern cuz of the context of the other interview. You are going into the subjective area of psychology. You sir are the one who cannot prove his point right or wrong.:hi:

lol Hailes gets a bad rap on this board.

Again, what else would you expect him to say? Provide examples.

Here's the question, Are you concerned about USC just signing a top signal caller in Matt Barkley last year?

Also bear in mind that this is a kid that hasn't tipped his hand even once. He wants three hats on the table and doesn't want anything to steal his thunder.
