You must be getting that from some sort of ESP because direct quotes from him just last week don't support your assertion.
Sorry, but every prospect talks about playing time. The thing is, most of them talk about it instead of what the girls on campus look like or what the party or social atmosphere is like. There are many things that influence a decision, and I don't think that playing time is one of them that is that high. In fact, most prospects know that once you get to campus, all bets are off and it's all business.
Defensive lineman Justin Utupo (Lakewood, Calif.) told ESPN's Greg Biggins he intends to sign with the Irish's Class of 2010. UCLA, Washington, Oregon State and Nebraska were also in the running for his pledge.
"I just committed to Notre Dame," Utupo said. "I've never been there before I've always wanted to go to Notre Dame. That has kind of been my dream school so once they offered, it was really only a matter of time."
"UCLA was right there too and I also liked Washington, Oregon State and Nebraska. Those were the main schools I looked at but Notre Dame just had too many pluses. I called up Coach Polian this morning to commit and he was really excited and that made me feel good. I won't be taking any other visits except to Notre Dame, my commitment is strong and this is a great day for me."
Last fall, he registered 78 tackles, 30 tackles for loss and 10 sacks.

Bailey's attention has narrowed to three schools also, two of which are in common with Scroggins. Bailey said he's looking mostly at USC, Tennessee and Notre Dame. He, too, would like to commit around the same time as Scroggins, but Bailey also wants to see Notre Dame and Tennessee before making a final decision.
I think you're dead wrong. Playing time is 4th or 5th on his list? What evidence do you have to support that? Scroggins is a competitior. He doesn't want to sit on the bench. If that weren't the case, he would have already committed to USC. Playing time is very important to him. We will see if it is more important than distance from home. I won't pretend to know like you have.
Sab, there's things on why a kid chooses a school that we will never know in recruiting articles. The things that they say are things that get them noticed in there.
Not to be a spelling sargeant, but for some reason I don't feel safe with some one who can't spell better

Hey guys the Lakewood connection I really think wants to stay together -- Childhood friends -- I belive all want to play as freshman --- Tennessee gives them the best shot as freshman to start!!! Rumor has it that Bailey will be at UT around the first weekend in August -- I hope so --- that connection would give UT along with our other recruits a shot at the SEC --- what do all of you think?
