Just read that, not so good news. You have to think we'll lose some guys before and on NSD, but he's not one I want to lose!

What does he expect, UT with a bunch of true freshmen and walk ons are going to compete for a sec title, thats why we recruited you, to strenghten our roster to beat the Bamas, UFs,etc. This does not look good. I really believe if he bases his decision on season performance, Neb will nab him, Bama will not take him and Ole miss is not good like us.

Nebraska? Delvin, you just need to get yourself up to the Hill. Once you see what's up there, you won't think about Nebraska again

What I don't like the most is that as far as visits go, he doesn't seem really anxious to come visit anymore than he's excited about trying to go to Nebraska, Ole Miss, and Bama. I mean, I think if I had committed I would want to go visit that school first and with some urgency.

After seeing the fact that we can't get the ball to the receivers and TEs, I can understand his frustration. He just has to look at the brightside that Crompton won't be here.

I can't see him switching. He, his family, and coach are talking with Gran. If we are really serious about this guy, and I think we are, Gran will finish the deal. This kid has probably (no firsthand knowledge) never traveled that much. If I were a kid who had limited opportunities I'd be on the first train leaving, to anywhere.

Has he visited anywhere? I think you have to pass ACT or SAT first. If he does that look for the first visit to be knoxville. We will lock him up then. Gran won't let him get away. Looks like grades may be a problem.

We are talking about a guy who has never officially visited UT. It happens, but if he visits, I like our chances of holding on to him.

keep in mind, all he's really seen is crompton. that's like only meeting your fiancee's disowned step brother before meeting the rest of her family. You'd have second thoughts too
If this guy HAD visited knoxville and STILL was having second thoughts, then i'd be concerned. I think Gran will remind him how much we're going to need a big time TE in the coming years and get him to stick.

Has he been to any of the camps? Or did he just verbal sight unseen. If so Gran must have put the full court press on him.

The "step it up" comment has me worried a little. I mean what does he expect the staff is trying to turn things around surely the staff is telling these recruits that.

Things to remember...

he has a strong relationship with Gran. That is the key.

go ahead and visit any school you like...just make sure you visit UT as well.

he wants to know that someone will be able to pass him the ball. Tyler, give this man a call. He could be your best friend at UT.

He is not an EE so this will play out until NSD. In my opinion, Gran holds on to him and he realizes he made the right call all along.

Jones is committed to Tennessee but he would like to visit Nebraska, Ole Miss and Alabama.
"I am still solid with the Vols," Jones said. "I talk with them so much and I still feel good about the decision. I really am trying to get up there during the season for a game. I would love to see it up there."

"I have been talking with some other schools and just got a new offer today from Arkansas. We talked today. I have seen them play a few times. I am not sure if I will visit them or not."

I'm hearing Miami is really hounding him hard now. Also, someone from a UGA board said they're trying to get him for a visit. I don't see him going to UGA they already have Orson Charles and I'm sure he's projecting as a TE.
