I think the biggest difference between Elam and Nuke is that Elam has known and dreamed of playing for Meyer since he was in like 8th grade when Meyer recruited his older brother. Not that it is impossible for him to end up at Tennessee, but I don't see it happening.

nope epic fail for you if he ends up at UT. That would be so embarrassing for florida and urban. More and more gator fans showing up on the board these days. They are getting nervous!! muhahahahahahah

I've noticed this also. Been here for a couple of years and never have seen this many Florida posters three weeks after the game.

Hmm...you come on a Vol message board and your total of three posts are all intended to rub dirt in our faces over our excitement at the possibility we might steal the Gators' top recruit? You fail.

Respectful Gator fans are welcome here any day, but you, sir, are a troll.

And I bet we won't see you here if Elam really does come to the Vols. If we don't get him, then it's not that big of a deal because we were a long shot anyway and he was SO solid to UF. BUT, if we DO snag Elam, the Gators (and you), gatoraus, will look pretty bad.

Im not saying fail to him bein a gator im saying fail for him thinking he would just act interested to take visits but i would feel stupid if he ends up here.

Here’s what he told Rivals about what he thinks of UT after seeing them up close and personal.

“They are very high in my decision,” Elam said. “Monte Kiffin’s background is a real plus. He’s been in the league and the defense he runs makes sure that his players get to the league. There is a connection there and they made a strong push for me.”

That can’t be comforting for UF’s staff.

But it was talking with safety Eric Berry that might be the selling point for the Vols. It’s perfect, really. Berry’s all but packed his bags for the NFL and Elam could just walk right in and take his spot. Safety depth at Florida isn’t too attractive and Elam has been quoted as saying that he wants to come in and play immediately.

“I was thinking that could be me,” Elam said of watching Berry. “He’s getting all that attention and fame and they promote him. He’ll be leaving and someone has to come in and be better than him and make plays.”

I'm sure to be scolded for posting this as usual I am sure. Just found it on gator sports

Truthfully, I came over here because you guys are more on top of recruiting than any Gator boards I've seen.

Also, I was nervous about this kid and will be with a lot of Florida recruits. Like I said on another board, Monte is the man and everyone in Florida knows it. Wish Lane was more like his dad.

Surprising twist but it is done and he is a Gator. I am sort of surprised by all of this because it sounded like the depth chart was really working against UF and typically that is something that is hard to make up.

It also sounds like Tennessee got caught telling Elam the same thing they were telling Riley and Elam got pissed.

I have been reading and I didn't see anything to confirm what Gator is spewing. Where is it being said that it's a done deal with the Gators?

Dorsey will probably go to CB most likely. So that leaves just Dowling and Elam coming in to fight for that spot next to Will Hill.

Then add into the fact that Strong rotates his safties in and out all the time like he has done this year.

If he is good enough he will play. That is the moto with the Gators.

That website looks like trash and something doesn't add up. Obviously nothing is official til signing day but the comments don't seem legit. One second he'd sign with West Virginia and after a 2 hour convo with butthole he is sure Florida is what he wants. My butt...

Meyer is probably going to screw Florida over when Tebow and the entire defense go pro. He may be screwing Meyer over. Nuke and Teague did at the final tick of the clock. :)
