His kicking coach was quoted as saying that was the big selling point at UT...he could do the place kicking and punting. He's worlds better than anything on roster right now.

Palardy hasn't used a platform for PAT or FG since end of junior year. He has kicked off the 1" tee on KO since the middle of junior year and always practices kicking from the 30 yard line during camp. Still puts them in the end zone or to the goal line consistently. All his PATs and FGs this season are off the ground. What you see is what you are getting, and Conrad will tell you that he is the best he has ever coached! High praise from someone who has put 10-15 punters and kickers into D1 schools. Here is the best part of all this, you will never hear this from this kid. He is humble and does not blow his own horn, but he will compete against anyone anytime. Wait and see.

Yeah, I figured as much, but I cbb going through 15 pages at 50 ppp to check. Can't wait for this kid to get here. Thanks for digging that up jrob.

Good current highlights on youtube against Byrnes SC. of kicking and punting. Also, made AAA team for east squad. Will be official announcement on the 9th I think Conrad said.

He hasn't officially accepted yet iirc. They are doing the thing where they come to his school sometime in the near future and he will accept then...

And seriously, It dont matter how many stars he has after his name. Most everyone has stated he is the best kicker in the country. He is going to be valuable to the Vols.

side note.
The most famous kicker getting recruited I can remember is Janikowski. I wonder how many stars were by his name??

Sucker tried a 75 or 76 yard field goal in the pros a couple years ago I think.

I don't think it was Kiffin's decision. That call was sent down from the owner. There was nothing Kiffin could do...

I read in several articles when it happened it was Kiffin who made the decision,of course if he did I think it was just to get at Davis. I thought it was pretty funny myself considering Al Davis is nuts,and runs off anybody worth a darn!

I'm aware Porter is the front runner for the Memphis job but I was wondering how Mr. Palardy feels about Coach Gran interviewing for the job. Thoughts anyone...

He probably doesn't care one way or another. It is extremely unlikely for Gran to get hired at Memphis so nothing to worry about.

I believe them interviewing gran was just the shot they took at us like they do every time they hire a coach, they always seem to want to interview or try to hire our coaches, in any sport.

Palardy is all Vol and he can't get here soon enough. He will replace Lincoln and Cunningham before the season starts. This guy has a monster leg with high trajectory.
