I love how situations get all turned around by rival boards with their interpretation of the rumor. But lets give some facts here before you call anyone dishonest. First he was concerned that P Sims commited and was told by our staff, when he(B Sims) commited, that they were looking at him for WR or DB. Again he knew this before P Sims commited. Nothing ever changed. This all came in a interview with him once P Sims commited. No offense to the kid but McElroy has two years left, Jackson has four years left and McCarron has 4 or 5 if he redshirts. This kid is no where near their ability to play QB. So even if we didn't get P Sims he wouldn't have been a QB. Second he originally wanted to be a QB and when he attended the UT camp they told him(Kiffin and staff) they would play him as a QB if he came to UT, per an interview he did after that camp. This is when all the orignal rumors started about Sims leaving UA. Third when he camped with us after the UT camp he only played WR and DB. As I have stated in other threads on this board I said I could very easily see him commit to UT, no surprise because if he really wants to be a QB. Saban was always up front with him. Lets hope Kiffin is also if he goes to UT.

Wrong. It took UT's camp to convince him he'd be better off at WR/DB. Saban had him convinced he was going to get the first shot at QB. It wasn't until he was on the way home from UT's camp that he called Saban and told him he wanted to play DB/WR.

He knew he would never see the field as QB at UA and if we wanted him as a QB why would we use him as a DB/WR at camp, and no not because Kiffin told us to. The fact is if the kid wants to go to UT let him. I do not care and wish him the best of luck. I only want players that want to be at our school 100%. Also if he does decommit it only gives us one more spot to fill which we might need since we are alomost full. Yes I think he could add alot to the class but he needs to go where he feels comfortable. and he thinks is the best fit for him.

I'm not arguing with you. It just looks like he isn't going to be at Bama on NSD. But you did bring up an interesting scenario. If he decommits, you all wil have another spot for a WR and imo Ambles would be a Tide lock...

This kid is really good in the open field. I've seen him avoid so many tackles that it is hair-pullingly frustrating when he is playing against your alma mater...

I still think Ambles is UT bound. I wish I knew for sure what is off the field issues were, but as I understand it that UF might not be offering and the word is that is was a UT/UF battle for him. We haven't heard anything lately regarding Ambles at UA.

Plus I wasn'y trying to argue about Sims I just think we believed for a few months now that he wouldn't sign with us. Now both of them together would be a nice package. The one I want to see at UA(dream insert here) is Prater, but I think he might end up at Oklahoma. The nice thing is we have three WRs for 2010 class already not counting B Sims and we have a good shot at landing K Allen from NC. It is between us and Oregon and he is commiting before the season starts. While at camp he only played WR. I think these factors play a greater role in Sims's decision if he decommits. That would be 8 Wrs for 2009/2010 classes and our backfield is also pretty stack for 2009/2010. So he might see his role smaller then he wants. This doesn't mean he wouldn't play but he might not like it.

Yea, I want Prater quite a bit. I think he ends up at OU. Alot of people also say it is a UT/Bama battle for Cobbs as well. The truth is, UT is in the mix for so many WRs I have no idea what to think. I think we will sign 4 WRs in this class and get Milton and Sims. As for the other 2 spots, it's hard to say. I do think we get one of either Ambles, Cobbs, Prater, or McCay. Then the last spot is gonna be somebody that we aren't really talking about like Josh Reese or Ted Meline. Reese is now teammates with Jose Jose and we should be in Meline's final 2 with Oregon since UGA does not have room for him anymore...

Yeah Cobbs is very interesting right now. I think we have a better shot at him than Ambles or Prater. I could see UT with Milton, Sims, Ambles easy and maybe Cobbs. That would be a nice WR class for UT. It also will depend on who else UF gets to commit because players will defintely look at their depth chart.

Attention hungry???? Blake told Saban himself he wanted to play wr/db. See one of my prior posts. Also told Saban to recruit another qb if thats what he wanted to do. Some take these rumors and run with it. Most of the time you dont even produce any proof. I know ut isnt doing that well in recruiting, but man let a sleeping dog lay. LOLOLOLOL

Blake Sims is wavering, whether you wanna believe it or not. It's not like you guys won't replace him with Cobbs or Ambles or somebody like that anyways so I don't know why you are getting so worked up about it...

And UT has the #15 recruiting class so far according to Scout and we haven't even started looking at the skill positions besides QB. If you don't think the Vols will end up with a very good class then you are just kidding yourself...

It is 100% NOT a false rumor. As for the Rivals ranking, 3 of our players have not been rated yet because they are JUCO. It's simple math really...
