'10 GA RB Mack Brown

only time will tell but Meyer has MORE bling to this point. Saban still has to win the NC game. Its about the bling so until Saban gets that second title he's not a better coach. Not sure what football you watch but its about NC. Don't kid yourself

As far as the bling, that will change in about a month.

UM is a good coach, but he was left a lot better cards to play, than Saban was at Bama. Saban has the talent level now, and beat a more seasoned UF team this year.
Bama has better players, and better coaches. That was evident Saturday.

Saban > Meyer

I'm sorry, I was looking for the Mack Brown recruiting thread, guess I'm in the wrong room:jpshakehead::jpshakehead::jpshakehead:

At this point he's only taking the visit to UF this weekend. Meyer killed another visit from what I've heard out of MLK.

Look at this year with Florida, all 11 starters on their defense have a legit shot to play in the NFL, plus they have the proclaimed greatest college football player of all time with Tebow, and all their big shot 5-star athletes, and they win by 10 at home to Tennessee. A team with a new coach, walk-on guard, center and middle linebacker and, at the time, a non- existent quarterback. Give me a break. Arkansas should have beat them at home with a brand new coach (who will outclass Meyer). Finally, Alabama just crushed them in the SECCG. I am sorry to say random Gator fan but I think your guy's run is over.

We also won by 3 against Arkansas, 10 against South Carolina, 20 against Vanderbilt, 10 against LSU, 10 against Miss State, etc. We didn't blow teams out all year. I don't see how all of that means Florida is pretty much done being a power in college football. 12-1 isn't a bad year. We will likely be 13-1, winner of the Sugar Bowl, and finish in the Top-3 of the rankings.

Nobody here thinks that we will win 2 of the next 3 National Titles. That stuff is hard. What I do think we will continue to do is field one of the more talented teams in the country and we have one of the best coaches in college football coaching them up. That will equal long-term success.

Let's just say that if you guys don't have a talented team and the next few years, there is something very wrong and I will honestly be a little bummed.

The Gator Apologist thread is located in the Around The NCAA forum..... Somewhere near Tebow is Crying and Saban is a better coach than Meyer threads..Meanwhile, back on the Mack Brown recruiting thread????:shakehead::shakehead::shakehead:

this is the greatest thing ive read today.:eek:lol:

i think its pretty evident that florida's offense isnt shiz without dan mullen. They clearly missed him a bunch. I'm sorry but urban and that florida team will never be as good as they were when they beat OU. I mean you bring back pretty much your entire team and you get pounded by Alabama? that right there is a testament to the decline of urban meyer and the Florida gators in the coming years.

Other than Louis Murphy and Pecvy Harvin (who woulda went no matter who he played for )I can't name any FL players in the NFL, that Urban Coached UP.
If he was on any other team other than the raiders I'm sure I'd never heard of him as well.

I dare say this is an overstatement....a pretty big one at that. When going to the Sugar Bowl as a 1 loss team is a testament to the decline in your program...expectations are unrealistic.

Meyer made a terrible decision going to Addazio he was not creative at all....If I am Mack I go elsewhere because Meyer is wasting Rainey and Demps...they may not be every down backs but they were the biggest HR threats he had and he rarely used them..what makes anyone think Mack will be used any different

Percy Harvin?...(nevermind...you updated)

There's a good chance that they play each other twice next year and I like the odds that they win one of the games. I don't think Florida will be way better than Alabama or anything, but I think it's over a 50% chance that they beat them at least once.

Sorry but no. You will more than likely lose some Jr's to go with 6 or 7 talented Sr's. I'd say that Haden, Wright, Hernandez, and Dunlap are pretty much gone. Hard to say where the Pouncey bros might grade out.

We saw the future of the UF running game early in the UT game when Meyer thought he could beat Monte without Tebow between the tackles.

IMO, the East looks like a 4 team race in 2010 as of now. All 4 have significant question marks that can only be filled by new comers.

He's not coming to UT so yall struck out on Brown, Dyer and most likely Lattimore so who left on the board? What UT fans fell to realize is Meyer shapes his offense to his players not sure why Moody doesn't get the ball more but next year Rainey will see the ball more like Harvin. He'll take the spot James had this year so Demps, Moody and Brown will be the rotation. People always talk about Tebow carrying the ball but Colt has lead Texas twice in rushing in 4years and Tebow 2 in 3 years. UF has run a spread option with Tebow at Qb but Demps and Rainey would have both had 100 carries but Rainey was hurt two games so bext year all Tims carries will go to someone and Mack knows that he will get his touches.

im sorry but they are about to lose charlie strong so they will just decline more and more they wont be the same for a long time. Just watch they will lose at least 3 or 4 games next season. And how are expectations to win the national title unrealistic when you have pretty much the same team coming back and the greatest college football player ever?

Apparently the education is not too great in FL. Try using a comma or period next time...:eek:k:
