Somewhat, but not as bad as it could be. We'll still have two legit tackles and Stone can make us a legit guard. I have to assume we can manage a guard and center out of what we have on hand.

That said, how short are we going to be?

My problem is where we're going to be at safety and LB.

most of the time, if you sign 4 OL in a class you can expect 2 to turn out and 2 not to turn out. So we needed to sign 6-7 OL just due to already being short on numbers and hoping for more to make it. With what CLK had on hook, we had chance for more to turn out. Now, doesn't look good

3. Markeith ambles, wr:

In the mix: Usc trojans, lsu tigers, tennessee volunteers, alabama crimson tide, auburn tigers, north carolina tar heels

consider ambles reason no. 188 why tennessee fans are going to hate lane kiffin for a very, very long time. The georgia receiver -- who at one point had been committed to the vols -- visited usc last weekend. Ambles says he grew up as a usc fan and says "i've always looked at myself as a little hollywood;" he is one of the recruits that the pete carroll regime hadn't stayed on. Kiffin, though, apparently has built up a bond with the 6-2, 185-pounder, who is the nation's no. 4 wr and no. 23 overall recruit. Earlier this week, ambles hosted lsu coach les miles and some tigers assistants, and they expect him to visit baton rouge this weekend. Alabama and auburn are still battling for ambles, too. Ambles visited north carolina two weeks ago and the tar heels also are still a factor.

My guess: Usc.
espn
More like no. 578

In my opinion we still get Ambles. This kid loves all the attention, (facebook, live video, wearing a diferent school hat in a new pic every day, etc.). He commited early and lost the attention, so with the exit of k****n, it gave him the oportunity to be in the spotlight.

This kid wants to play early and on tv. With the troubles lingering over SC, and N. Carolina not the best place for exposure, I believe he comes to ROCKY TOP in the end.

Look for a long drawn out process, probally after NSD like Bryce Brown. IMO our biggest threats for him at the moment are Bama, LSU, and Auburn.

Mark it down he will play in the SEC, hopefully with us. I just hope he is not another Kelly Washington.

I think he will be exactly that, and end up being a dividing force wherever he goes, especially with his latest comment about how he's always seen himself as a little Hollywood. This guy is super-talented, but he's probably going to be a cancer to whatever team he goes with.

i wish i knew why people think USC will get in trouble when they get away with EVERYTHING and always have. Carroll left for the NFL not due to any hammers dropping.

Yeah, I could see how the NCAA basically telling Garrett that USC couldn't self-impose sanctions would lead you to believe they are just going to let this pass by. Bigger programs than USC have been hammered before, namely Alabama football and Kentucky basketball.

He's balancing out all those who are just as ignorantly saying "He's gone". Ambles will be "gone" when the ink is dry. Right now he hasn't even given a verbal... and that's after visiting his supposed dream school. If he were certain about committing to USC then there's no reason for him to not do it.

I still think it is up in the air, but there is also something that tells me that Kiffin told him to be silent until NSD to make that splash that he likes. Who knows at this point

Per John Brice Volquest: I don't think Ambles ends up at USC. I think distance will end up being the factor there. I would watch out for LSU, and UT is still in the mix.

I agree, I don't see Ambles going to So Cal...and I think that we are still in it...he's just wanting a little attention...jmo...go VOLS!
