yea, the depth chart at WR looks like this:

6 Denarious Moore Sr. 6-1 190 3star

Now, if you add in Thompkins and the posibility of Warren coming back, that is awesome depth. I think Hunter and Meline are sure fire redshirts no matter what.

Yeah I think the depth is there, as Vader said.

D. Rogers

Those are 5 very good WR IMO.

You red shirt Meline, Hunter, and Milton (I think all of them could use it).

You also have Z. Rogers, who could be a solid slot WR, blocking WR.

If Warren comes back, that is 7 (3 being seniors).

I think next year Teague moves to CB, Thompkins is probably gone, and you have Rogers, Rogers, Milton, Meline, Hunter, Milton, and some recruit in next years class.

We probably aren't going to be good next year, so redshirting these guys would be smart not only for the team, but also for them.

That is all assuming Thompkins comes. If he doesn't, I think you redshirt two of the three (Milton probably being the guy you don't).

not imo, but he is definitely going to have to show up and stop crying cuz Teague, Thompkins (if he comes), and Rogers are going to be hard on his heels.

Ill give you 3 out of five, but lets be honest the only reason Jones and Moore are starting is because they are vets.. I believe that Hunter and Milton have more talent in their toes than those two.

Anyone want to clear up how long he would have to sit out if we don't release him? I've heard it was next season but I've also heard it wouldn't be nearly that long?

I think the NCAA is trying to void his LOI so it does not effect him considering the circumstances... If the rule does not change he sits a year..

when have you seen that happen? seriously, I need examples?

on the NCAA eligibility hompe page it says a letter of intent is a binding contract. once u sign that paper, says the school only has the power to release you ... he's done!

the conditions have been met on Tennessee's end. he met eligibility requirements, we offered him his scholarship ..he's sh*t out of Luck.

Brent Hubbs said on the radio last night that UT is not pursuing Thompkins and that goes back to the Kiffy days. Says THompkins would love to be a Vol but he didn't make it gradewise enough to early enroll, he didn't sign anything and since we signed DaRick and Hunter, we have no slot for him. End of story.

If this is the case regarding the LOI then why would he be looking for a release from UT?
