I REALLY like our chances here. Would be a little surprised if he commits now, but it wouldnt mark the end of his recruitment.

Anything new on what's going on with Kelcy? Side note: Rivals listed him as the top DT in the class of 2010.

It's going to be until the fall before something probably comes of it. Too many health issues with his family for a decision to be made right now.

His dad's health isn't going to get any better this fall. I don't think that has anything to do with it.

I think he sticks with the cocks...family and home state will be too much....that is why we are offering other DT's left and right

we lead for quite a few too...we will be fine at DT without him but I would love to have him

He will be up for an official I am sure....another chance to show him why he loves UT so much

Almost every kid has pressure to attend a home state school or a school that is close.
I think we have a much better than 50% chance to get Quarles.

yeah i dont think distance will be that big of a factor, he is only about 3 and half hours away from knoxville. Would love to have hime though we need all the d line we can get, been awhile since we've seen the stud d line guys come to kville in mass numbers

I don't think he is that close to doing anything. I think emotionally he wanted to right after the visit and his dad asked him to wait and be sure. I don't think Tennessee is out of it, but I don't think this one is close to being done like everyone including the TN staff did a couple of weeks ago.

Brent's right on the money there and reveals more than is typical for him. I would be surprised if USC is able to hold on to Kelcy.

The most exciting thing about this upcoming class for me is that we are going after and have very positive early results for a lot of premium OL and DL. We are filling needs early.

This might have been dicussed already, but it looks to me like Quarles should be a 5 star prospect. He is #35 in the rivals 100 and is the #1 DT. Not sure you can get much better than that. Is it possible that it is still really early and he will more than likely become a 5 star later on if he continues to impress?

There are still camps, combines, and senior seasons left to go for players to be further evaluated so there's still a possibility.

There are generally around 30 players who get 5*s, so he'll be right on that edge pending combines, senior seasons, ..etc

6 isn't too far of a stretch when you consider that Broussard is a longshot to qualify and Carmon and Harris are JUCOs...

6 mosters would be great. Just think about our rotation then 3-4 years from now on the interior. I just wish Tebow got to play against those guys. Oh well, I guess we'll never know. haha

Quarles woul probably start right away in Knoxville, not to many kids can say that. We know if Fulmer was there Quarles wouldnt see the field until he was a 5th year senior but with Kiffin, day 1 starter. I can see the press conf now, 2 hats, usce and UT.
