'10 SC OL Marquis Pair

Kiffin mentioned already that we were going to collect guys on the offensive line that were not necessarily the household names. He wanted quick, athletic linemen to fit our scheme. He is getting and doing what he said once again.

Quote:
Securing offensive linemen is "very high" on UT's list of recruiting priorities, Kiffin said. However, don't expect UT to be chock full of four- and five-star blockers come National Signing Day 2010.

"They may not be the highest ranked players but they'll be players that fit our system - what we want," Kiffin said. "We want athletic guys. We want tough guys.

"I think what you may see is we may end up signing some guys that aren't household names in recruiting but will be great players in our system."
These guys Fulton & Pair maybe 4-star guys by the time NSD rolls around!

We're assembling a bunch of long, lean, athletic kids with good frames for the o-line. I'm excited to see what this line is going to look like in a couple of years.

Do you think this kid will waiver once he starts getting lots of offers from other schools? If so I hope will be like Schofield and stick with his commitment in the end.

Very true, but if they are not Vol fans shouldn't complain if these guys stay at 3 stars

I looked at the All SEC OL a couple of years ago and it was pretty well distributed between guys who were 2*, 3*, 4*, and 5*. It isn't easy to evaluate OL's when they almost never go against equal competition and often get buried by a team with no skill players (a la Schofield).

great to see us getting some oline guys starting to commit. I was wondering how bad not having a qb would hurt us in that department. Hopefully it will be the other way around and A qb will see these oline guys commiting and want to join the party on the hill

From the sounds of it, he will redshirt and maybe start a redshirt sophomore year. This sounds like a beast. he he could hold his own against the prospects at our 1 day lineman camp, I want the kid! He has the frame to add 35-40 lbs and still be fine.

He gonna be a good one guys he's got the frame and athleticism that Kiffin loves...him and Fulton are gonna be good ones:D

Another think I like about all the linemen we are recruiting is that they are all athletic enough to play all 5 positions. Imagine if we had the size and athleticism of having all 5 OL starters with the ability to play LT. That would be amazing

Congrats. Very good pickup.

I like OL recruits like Pair -- with good athleticism and frame that don't carry a bunch of worthless fat. Add some more quality strength/bulk, coach him up and he should be a very good one.

That makes two OL guys recently. Much needed.

Marquis is currently out of town and was unable to be reached. We at InsideTennessee.com will bring you a more in depth feature story on the Vols second offensive lineman commitment later this week.

This is from a scout article it's a free read. I thought he was our third O-Line commitment.
