James Stone - I think hes sold on UT for many reasons, the depth chart, home state and the fact that UT has made him their highest in state priority. James is really big on academics, but in the end I think hes going to see that starting as a true freshman isnt possible at UT, its pretty damn likely. Alabama is going after Stone hard, but its unknown at this point as to whether Stone is a fan of Dodge Chargers or not.
I just caught up with Ralph Thompson, the head football coach at Maplewood High in Nashville, Tenn, about the recruitment of his blue-chip offensive tackle James Stone.
“Everything is still pretty much status quo,” Thompson said. “I don’t think Stanford is quite in the picture anymore. Definitely Notre Dame, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.”
Both Stone and Thompson are looking forward to their official visit to Notre Dame for the USC game. I personally like where the Irish stand at this point headed into the season.
Thompson said that Stone is 6-5, 310, and it's a good 310.
I'll be at the Ooltewah game. He'll be mano a mano with J Smith.Stone will have plenty of chances to play against HIGH competition this year, the start of Maplewood's schedule is as hard of a schedule as I have seen a metro school take on.
