HE wasnt rushed when he threw the ball into the stands instead of running for 5-6 yards. How that wasnt called grounding I will never understand.
Anyway, lots of kids have the physical attributes. JC is the prototype from a physcal stand point. Unfortunately for him, that can only take you so far. In high school, he didnt have to read defenses. Thats why I think the QB position has by far the most "busts" when it comes to projecting a highly rated recruit to the next level. JC has absolutely NO ability to see and diagnose the defense, and he takes WAAAY too long to see the wide open receiver. These are mental limitations.....things you "should" learn over time, but some guys just dont get it. I have a good feeling about Bray in this regard, in that at the Elite 11 he didnt let all the other big name guys get to him.....he stepped up and proved himself worthy of the invite. Also, by all accounts, Bray is on a team with absolutely NO TALENT around him offensively and is still able to produce. Only time will tell if he is truly D1 ready......but there is no question that the success of our team for the next 2-3 years is directly related to if he is what we think he is. If we are going to win, Bray MUST be the answer at QB next year. If Stephens cant beat out CONVINCINGLY the sorry excuse that is Crompton, there is ZERO chance he is the answer to our problems next year. I think it is Bray or BUST next year, unless Lamaison comes out of nowhere.
That wasn't just a lack of a pass rush. That was lack of anything defensively unique. He threw into places he never would have against UCLA and UF because they were either wide open or if he missed no one else was going to get there. Keep in mind he still stared down receivers in that game and got passes tipped at the line for two INTs.
Crompton KNEW our running game would bail him out in that game. But when he feels pressure to succeed in a big game, he's not accurate at all, pass rush or not.
Yes that is big 290 and he is Maplewoods left tackle well guess what...Their left gaurd weighs 448...no that is not a typo i said four hundred and forty eight pounds

Kid cant pass block at all but run block he is alright they mainly run behind James. the big guy just blocks off defenders and is unstoppable in short yardage cause they run right behind him and i will deffinetely have pictures up here
We had a guy on our team in high school who was about 5'9 350-400 pounds. When he was in the game he would line up in a 4-point stance and basically just dive forward. He had zero tackles in 4 years. He was almost as tall in his 4-point stance than he was standing up.
