'10 TN OL James Stone

IMO if we really did turn down Leifeit we would turn down Stone.

agreed. but it makes you wonder why we even have jose jose. If you look at USC's line there is no one even close to the short little chunky body of jose. Im not a big believer in jose at all

From what I heard Jose Jose is going to be great once he loses some weight but I really don't know too much about him. I see us ending up with a really good o-line class. I don't have any connections or anything but I really think we end up with Chaz Green and JaWaun James and either 1 more HS prospect with one of Cullen or Moses or if we don't get another HS prospect both Cullen and Moses. What do you guys think?

could have used him on Cody yesterday especially on the FG attempts. Wit his size, maybe the two attempts wouldn't have been blocked and if they were missed then blame is solely on Lincoln. Our line is too undersized to have kept Bama out.

Turning down Stone would be a mistake for future recruiting in the Middle TN area, I believe Stone would be a vol if he wanted to now.

We recruited Leifheit a long time too.

It all depends on if the coaches think we've got Cullen, Green, James, ..etc locked up or not.

Turning down an instate kid you have offered wouldn't look to good. It sure wouldn't help us with building relationships.

Didn't see this posted in this thread yet, but Stone rated his ND visit for the USC game a 7/10. Many of the Irish sites are getting the stay south feeling (UT/Bama).

we have to get stone if we are going to make this class worth anything i think...i mean the offensive line guys we seem to be goin after are either not very good like leifheit or out of our league i think like henderson

Juwauan James- We lead
John Cullen- We lead
Chaz Green- We lead with UF

We turned Leifheit away because we are in on some better guys, not because he is terrible.

How about James, Green, Cullen, Robinson etc......are those guys "not good or out of our league". It we get ALL the O-Linemen we want (realistically....not talking about pulling Henderson, thats NOT happening) there may just not be room for Stone to come here. If he REALLY wanted to play at UT (or the coaches were REALLY after him), he would have committed already with our class filling up and the other top notch guys we are after. Stone is not someone I would consider an "elite" prospect.....he got OWNED at camp and by Jacques Smith when they met this year. If James didnt live in TN, hardly anyone on here would even want us recruiting him, IMO.

Stone is pretty indecisive from what I gather, and we're in on better players. Jacques Smith is going to be a hell of a DE in my opinion, and that speaks highly of his abilities, but he still owned James pretty good. Stone's more of a project in a situation where we need guys more physically prepared to play soon.

If we miss out on a player, specifically Green, or someone like Pair leaves, I think Stone will end up a Vol. I don't see Bama taking him.

I would not be surprised at all, if the coaches think we are good with the guys I mentioned earlier, if Pair gets a "suggestion" from the staff to start looking around.

I think that Bama has been slow playing him for quite some time. My money is still on Notre Dame or Vandy.

When you consider the talent that UT has on the table, where would this kid end up on the depth chart? I like Tennessee kids because of heart, but when they are slow to commit I have to question that heart. He is a good kid and I hope him luck wherever he goes.
