'10 TN OL James Stone

Cody, rivals means jack diddily. So does army aas. There are other all americans and maybe even a few non aaas the staff thinks are better. If we really really reallly wanted this guy, we could get him imo....

Wasn't B Brown a Army All-American?

BTW I do not think UA is slow playing him. He seems to be really high on our boards.

I think that Bama has been slow playing him for quite some time. My money is still on Notre Dame or Vandy.

When you consider the talent that UT has on the table, where would this kid end up on the depth chart? I like Tennessee kids because of heart, but when they are slow to commit I have to question that heart. He is a good kid and I hope him luck wherever he goes.

I'll be shocked if he ended up at Notre Dame.. not a threat

If it does end up Bama or UT, UT will get him because we need OL help. He will need lots of work and development where ever he goes. Definitely a guard.

The only thing that tells me, is that the other highly ranked OL aren't high on Bama then. Stone to replace James isn't a good trade.

Stone is second on Bama's OL board behind Kouandjio and he's probably about fourth on UT's board behind Chaz Green, JaWuan James, and John Cullen and there's a decent chance that all three end up Vols. He could be even further down than that.

Bama is very high on him and think they get him. Heard that he was bama bound too. I always thought ND but the guy that told me this has been right on a lot of things.

Bama wants him because we are trying to buil depth at guard. We have alot of tackles and we have time to develop him. I think UT would have him higher on the board if the depth was already there, but UT needs players to come in right away and perform and I do not think Stone can do that as a freshman.

He is behind Coleman and Robinson IMO.

I'm not sure we are as low on him as some think. We still want him. He would be a big time pickup imo...

This. Stone's value is his upside. The dude can move around like very few people for his size. He's a guard at the next level IMO, but he is a highly rated prospect for a reason. Brimming with potential.

We will take him if we can get him.

I agree Stone will end up at Bama. They have him higher on their board than Tennessee does and his high school coach is pushing very hard for him to go to Bama so he has some outside influence in that direction. My guess is if he for some strange reason doesn't end up at Bama then it will be Vandy. Who knows. Odd recruitment really.

If he ends up at Bama is this really a loss for UT? I have read that he's not as good as everyone thinks he is. If we pull James, Cullen, Green, and hold onto Pair, Fulton, and Jose we should be okay.
