'10 TN OL James Stone

A nice trade but from everything I have read Stone was higher on our board then Cloeman. It was always believed that Coleman was a backup if we didn't get Stone or Arie.

Either way Stone will be a great pickup for UT.

really? stone over coleman? i find that hard to believe, but i guess saban would know talent.

According to our sources it has been Arie and Stone at the top with Coleman behind. But who knows.

That's the impression I've gotten.

I think we get Coleman and Arie K. Vols get Stone.

Auburn gets putz.

I REALLY want Arie K. He has huge upsides. He is a very smart kid. Not to mention, it puts us in the driver's seat for by Cyrus K. next year.

Its looking like Stone Glass and Robinson to close this class... I am still praying for Chaz but it def sounds like we lead for those first 3 I mentioned

Out of those three, who could help immediately? I would think all three need at least a year to develop.

on vq theres a article that states that dooley was in florida on tues and oday he will be in tennessee on a in home visit with a major recruit??? im guessin hes ryin to wrap stone up????

I am having trouble seeing anyone other than JaWuan James being an immense help immediately just because of early enrollment and his talent level. If we were to get Chaz Green, I think that would change but it sounds like that's becoming much less of a possibility. I think Robinson on size alone might be the best chance, but if he isn't conditioned well and doesn't pick up the scheme quickly then even at his size I don't think he'd be much help next season right off the bat.

That assumes he comes here, too.

I am not to sure the old staff didn't want Stone as bad as we did at UA. The difference was Stone didn't like Kiffin.

The word at UA was that when Coleman starting looking around he was told we already had our last 2 offers out for OL and that was Stone and Arie, but we liked Coleman but Saban was holding for those 2. Even when it was rumored that SC might go somewhere else we were never included in his list. So who knows and either way if UT gets Stone and we get SC we both made out and the fans at the Barn can continue to meltdown over it. Because remember they thought thet were getting both.:)

TOS has a report on the Tennessee page about "a big switch" for Stone after his UT visit. Does anybody know what there blabbering about?

Looks like you guys now lead for Stone. I think we had a good shot at him so long as K-boy was in Knoxville. Equation is changed with Dooley at the helm.

Of Arie, Stone, and Coleman, Bama hopes to land two.
