'10 TN OL James Stone

Pretty sure that coach is a huge d-bag bama homer who doesn't give a crap about his kids and just wants him to go to his favorite school, but IDK

Edit: oh damn, I meant Stone's coach for anyone who thought that was confusing, but I guess it could apply to Kiffin too haha

you have no clue what you're talking about

Definitely applies to Kiffin. I think Stone and his coach just saw Lane for what he was. A fool and a liar that was only in it to get things for himself.

I don't think Sab has ever called Stone to UT. In fact, a month ago, he published one of his recruiting articles and I told him he was wrong, because he said Notre Dame led, and he chastised me for it. Also, Matthew Sullivan (aka Da Douche), called it before I did. We both called it in July, and that was before all the disrespect Kiffin showed James. IMO, had we not had a coaching change, James would have went to Bama.

Not really going out on a limb considering his coach said that he would not have went to Tennessee if Kiffin was still here..With that being said I still think most people believed Stone would eventually end up at Tennessee when all was said and done considering he's instate and our depth issues..

The D has good orange-blooded leadership from this class in Jacques.

The O could use the same from Stone and Green.

I said, back in August, that we probably wouldn't end up getting him at that point. I also knew what was going on with his recruitment from several different people. I just didn't go out on that limb before yesterday, I had already been out there and looked down.

so de we like stone now?
cause i remember many of you bashing the kid when CLK was recruiting him?

Not sure where you are getting that we were "bashing the kid" at, but there were prospects that were much higher on Kiffin's board that we are pursuing or in it with anymore. Plus, Stone's coach hated Kiffin. Go back through the thread and see where any of us were bashing Stone. You won't find it from me, I can tell you that.

Ralph Thompson per ESPN:

"What I think is separating the two schools is the head coaches," Thompson said. "I think that he is leaning toward UT just because of his like for Derek Dooley's staff. In James' eyes, Derek Dooley seems like he is more personable than coach (Nick) Saban. I think that is the difference."

Thompson also had this to say about former coach Lane Kiffin: "Flat out, nobody liked Kiffin. I didn't like Kiffin. James didn't like Kiffin."

EDIT: NM this is the same as the GVX article. My bad.

Hubbs says he likes our chances with Stone as of right now. He's not saying it's over, but right now he likes the Vols shot.

Why would Stone's coach reveal that Stone likes Dooley better than Saban if he were going to sign with Alabama?

Dooley probably sealed the deal with his home visit to Stone, but he has always been tight-lipped about his recruitment so who knows?
