'10 VA DT Evan Hailes

• Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith defensive tackle Evan Hailes could make his college decision by the end of June. Right now, the teams in the hunt are Tennessee, Virginia Tech, North Carolina State and LSU. Hailes will visit Virginia Tech in early June, then head to Tennessee in the middle of June. If he feels comfortable enough at one of those two schools following the visits, a commitment could follow. If not, further visits are in store. Tennessee still sounds like the ultimate destination if all goes well on his visit, but the Hokies have made a nice push.

I'm basing the whole 'bama thing off of post #117 of this thread. Sab makes a reference to a Mike Farrell article.

They're talking about Scroggins - not Hailes - for the USC offer. Hailes wanted one from Bama and Scroggins is the kid that lives right near USC.

There is a new Rivals article dated 6/8 talking about him narrowing his list but I don't have a subscription.

"I cut it to a top five and a final five," he said. "It's Penn State, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, NC State and LSU. If I had to take five visits now, those would be the schools.
