Like I said, I wasn't addressing anyone, nor did I cite a specific situation where anyone did that.

I think we'd agree that W's trump stats and he's 28-0 as a starter, which means he's beaten every level of competition he's faced. You can't ask him to do anymore than that.

I don't think his competition was too stiff in the regular season. His team did well in the playoffs though.

I like that 38-2 win over a previously undefeated Auburn team.

Skyline is supposed to play Oaks Christian out of California next year and both teams could be top-15 nationally going into that game.

He came in with the coaching staff. The were introduced at the 12:00 timeout to a standing ovation. This will likely be the most attended LV game this season so it was not a bad one to get him to. After the introduction Lane walked over and got him out of the student section where Bruce intercepted them on their way out.

Bruce spent about 10 minutes talking to him and Jake just seemed in awe of the whole thing. Bruce was talking about the fan support and what this crowd would be like multiplied by 5. Jake was just blown away it seemed. Bruce said that the crowd looks good in pink but that he HAS to see it in orange. Jake then talked with Bobby Maze for a few minutes while Bruce and Lane chatted. he looks like he is having an amazing time.

come on jaques. We need you in the thick of recruiting almost as the whole coaching staff. People say kiffin can relate to kids because of his age, but who better to relate to a kid than another big time prospect going through the same thing. We need you to call Heaps, and definitely that Maclin kid who said LSU and bama are his favorites.

If people would read more carefully all problems would be avoided. As I wrote... After the introduction, Lane went and got Jake out of the student section. That would indicate that he was not a part of the introduction.

Now, as for the rest of the night... Lane was a part of the halftime show... He shot freethrows for cancer awareness. Good form, but went 2 for 5. He and Bruce were funny and Heaps' mom and dad were loving it. They all seemed to be in awe of all that went on. They left with Lane before the second half and the students clapped for them as they left. I don't know where he will go but he seemed like a good kid and he and his parents were all smiles all night. Here's to Lane and the boys hoping we can land him early.

latest report is that he has told the media he's leaning towards not taking one.

if you read the articles on how badly he wants to compete and master the position, it doesn't seem likely that he'll be able to pull himself away.

If he doesn't take a mission I think he will come to Tennessee. JMO

If he does take a mission I think he will choose to stay closer to home.

It would be awesome if Heaps committed early. Would absolutely springboard UT to the #1 class in 2010 and the coaching staff knows it. They are selling him hard and quick. Are pushing for a committment this week.

Dude im sure they were telling him about Drew Brees being under our new off. coordinator as well. He actually kind of reminds me of Drew.

Heaps' has a great arm...I don't care what MF says. I think it's a great thing he plays with great talent all around him. IMO, it'll prepare him for the next level. Oh...and from what I've read, Seattle-area high school football is damn good, so the ole competition level argument just wont cut it. The thing that will make Heaps the best qb out there (not necessarily the top rated) is the combination of athletic ability, smarts, and his good nature. The latter of the three is what will make him a winner, no matter where he goes or what he does.

Ahhhhhhh....I'm just breakin' ya bwaallls!!!
