'10 WA QB Jake Heaps

With as much good information as you provide TJ, mistakes are bound to happen. Anything to share about Charles to get our hopes up?

thanks Tom.

I think this is an interesting turn of events. Charles has been keeping his hole cards covered and I think it's a very positive sign, that he'd choose to do an interview at this stage with the VolQuest staff. The timing of this can't be overlooked. He seems to be one of the few elite recruits that has truly kept an open mind to late suitors. He seems to really get what Lane is about.

I was in no way seriously correcting you...I just got a chuckle out of it...sheez.

I know and I wasn't about to put a bounty on your head. :peace2:

Heaps likely won't commit to anyone until he at least visits Washington, BYU, and possibly USC. I'm expecting a Washington and TN battle with TN winning out due to our fan base, coaching staff, and conference. I wouldnt be shocked at all if the Kiff man has some suprises for the media in March... Charles announces on March 6th, Brown said after visiting campus he is now announcing on March 16th, and Heaps wants to make a decision before the summer??????? Sometimes dreams can become reality.

Here's a little bit of new info on Heaps. He's cut his list down some...and we're still on it!

Cool article, but he trimmed his list to 10 several weeks ago. We knew about him adding FSU, but adding Georgia to the list is news to me, although I doubt they will be a real competitor with the two QBs they signed last year.

What is troubling is that he seems to keep adding schools, rather than continuing to trim, which leads me to believe it won't be as quick a decision as we hope.

I hope he cuts his list down soon to where tennessee is the only thing left. Hopefully we can land this kid before summer to help kiff, and co. bring in some talented wideouts.

We really need to bring talent in pretty much every where, however, your right, we're getting really thin on the O-Line.

hey everybody, this is my first post so go easy on me. I live in Cali and am a huge Vol fan. I played football in college, and i was unaware that my quarterback went to the same high school as Heaps.

He was the quarterback ahead of Heaps. He told me that everyone in the state new he was going to be really good when he was in 6th grade. he said Heaps was better then him when Heaps was a freshmen and didn't play Heaps cause of experience.

He also said this kids eats and sleeps football. had no social life and never went out unless it was football related. a receiver on the team said after each season, Heaps would disappear until football season, just working on his game.

ill try to get more out of him later.

A superstar highschool quarterback with no social life, criminal record or off the field problems that eats and sleeps football.... sounds too good to be true.

the Huskies are positive that he's theirs, a combo of hometown school and CSS

WSU was positive that they had him too because they got Gino, and his mother was praising their school, and they didn't even make his top 10. BYU and UW both think he is a lock at this point. Obviously one, or both are wrong. All of his actions and all the nice quotes can be misleading though, because I think he really wishes he could accept every offer, but he has to pick one.

I think he will be a Vol IMO...His personality is right in line with our staffs and with all the connections that got him here on an unofficial in Feb....we r sitting high with this kid and I think we pull it out.

I think he will be more of a priority for CLK than MB was this year. I think this is the guy CLK will not take no for an answer from.

I really hope we can land this kid. He seems perfect for everything we're trying to build and could start a snowball effect of good things happening for this university

Thats why we need this kid he may not be the most athletic guy (P.Manning) but he will beat you with hard work and smarts
