BYU is the team to beat for Sammamish (Wash.) Skyline's Jake Heaps. While Heaps is interested in Tennessee, LSU, California and Washington, sources say his Mormon faith will lead him to BYU. Heaps wants to make his decision in June, and if it isn't BYU, it would be a stunner to a lot of people.
Posted via VolNation MobileThat's great if he wants to go to BYU....he's just gotta be aware of the fact that he probably won't win a National Championship as long as he's there. They play in a weak conference, they won't ever get higher than a BCS bowl. If he wants a legit shot at a National Championship, I'd look at the SEC, since most of the champs in the past few years have came from there. And if he's not concerned about winning a National Championship....I don't think I want him anyways.
Eh, you never really know. He'd be able to stay on the West Coast in the same system we run, plus from what I gather, they're on him about as hard as we are.
I don't think that would happen, but its possible, and that could really screw us over.
I just can't see anyone going to USC though this year. No one is going to beat out Barkley or Corp in the next couple years.
I'm sure he would love to sit behind Barkley for 3 years.
