I've thought BYU for Heaps for awhile. He always talks about how much of a draw it is to play for the school most representative of his religion and has good things to say about Bronco Mendenhall.

UW isn't out of it for Heaps. But BYU's program is better off than UW by far right now, so it makes sense to me that Heaps would go to BYU if he stays west. We still have a shot but I definitely do not have a good feeling about it. He's pretty much picking between the school of his faith, the school he rooted for growing up, and the school that would best prepare him for the NFL (if he lives up to his billing, that is).

I would imagine Scroggins would go to USC if he stayed out west. I really like our chances with Scroggins, maybe even more so than with Hendrix at this point.

I hate to be a negavol, but there's just something telling me we don't get Heaps, Scroggins or Hendrix. I'd take any of the three, but just have a feeling we miss out for some reason. The staff has pulled some surprises and landed some big prospects last class so we're due for a letdown unfortunately. No source, just my gut.

I think the surprises the staff pulled in the '09 recruiting class will be the rule rather than the exception, IF we can exceed expectations on the field. Under Fulmer I would have had the same negative feeling, but with Kiffin and crew it seems like a new era in UT football recruiting!

I would guess 50-70% for Scroggins and 30-50% for Hendrix. There hasn't been enough time to really gauge their true interest in their new offers (USC/UF for Scroggins, OSU/PSU for Hendrix). Our chances definitely weren't helped by these offers but I till think we'll end up with at least one commit this summer out of Heaps, Scroggins, and Hendrix. If not, I won't be worried, because there are still plenty of good QBs on the board that have significant interest in UT but just haven't had the level of exposure these guys have had.
