Difference is C Strong was the main reason Luc was even considering UF but this one is a long way from over if you ask most gators. I have never been on the Wilder-wagon, I've always had a feeling he would head somewhere else because the kid wants to play running back and the "Plant issue". FSU, UGA and anyschool will give him a shot at RB but they all will move him to olb in two years. UGA just did it with Richard Samuel. Noles maybe too confident on this because I'm hearing JWS was in Gainesville on Tuesday visiting Drayton and Meyer.

He's visited UF,Bama(Sr) and FSU with his family doesn't mean that much atp. If he takes second trip to any school with family then UF fans should worried but I'm not going to let JWJ work me up....if he's in this class then fine but I really feel that many other recruits haven't committed because of him. If he lands at UGA,Bama or FSU then he'll effect recruiting at olb and rb also. As soon as he commit watch Blakey or Huggins and some of the lb will also fall in place.

The only good thing about UGA is he will be there this weekend with Crowell. One of them is not going to be happy about being told the same thing that they will come in and be the feature back for the future. If JWj goes to UGA UA will get Crowell for sure IMO.

CMR already got caught in one lie regarding Z DeBell when he told him that they were only taking one more OL commit to try and convince him to commit and he did but it also got back to X Ward which he was not happy because he was told the same thing. Both players were told they were the only ones being recruited for the last spot. I hope he does that with IC and JW and neither go there.

You must be mistaken. Saint Richt could never tell a lie... :eek:lol:

As much as I dislike all things Bullpup I wouldn't mind for JWJ to head to Athens over FSU and even UF....this has bust written all over it. I would rather have Blakely or Huggins at rb. I really think Crowell is going to pull the trigger for Bama. Just something in the air says Saban will pull a Trent with IC this class.

If you want somebody to waste his talent, Richt or Miles can. Just hope he goes one of those places.

I agree. It would suit me fine for Wilder to commit to the Dawgs based on a big fat promise from Richt that he'll be a RB. And like you said, that may trigger some other RB & LB dominoes to start falling. If I had to project today I'd guess Wilder goes UGA (or possibly FSU) fairly soon and Blakely to UF and Crowell to Bama.

I hope Wilder Jr. goes to UGA because they have been under-achieving big time the last couple of years if you judge them by their signing classes. Otherwise, I hope he goes to FSU. I can't see him going to UF because of their style in the run game. I don't really believe the rumors that they are attempting to start a power run game, unless they rely on Moody to carry the load.

TS, why do you think Crowell to Bama? I figured he would go somewhere that he's not the 3rd string guy.

Ingram will probably be in the NFL by 2011 and Richardson by 2012, although Bama does have a good RS-Fr RB in Eddie Lacy. So, there'll be plenty of opportunity for a RB of Crowell's ability-level to see the field early and often. Guys at his talent-level really don't worry that much about competition for PT. I expect that Crowell is pretty confident that he has a good shot at a #1 or #2 RB spot by at least his 2nd season at Bama.

JW is going to Fla unless FSU can turn him, IC is going to UGA. Are you guys still in it for the kid from Texas?

DeBell was told they had one spot left (which probably means they have a silent commitment), so it was either him or Ward. They told both the same thing and DeBell jumped on it, Ward did not. I was told this week that Bama has now also told Ward no so he is on to option 3, which is hopefully us. His coach told him to wait on committing and it has come back to bite him.

BTW, this quote sounds like Crowell is recruiting for UGA.

during the 3 days wilder was in athens he was with jarvis jones, orson charles, aaron murray, and isaiah crowell. all 4 of those guys were doing a terrific job on wilder. aaron's family and wilder are close as well. it's great to have crowell okay with uga going after wilder

Do you think Ingram would chance the lockout next year? Juniors have to declare in Jan and they say the lockout wouldn't be certain until March.

:hi: I've been paying little to no attention to the NFL lockout speculation. Are you a Dawg fan? I sense that basing your confidence level on Crowell to UGA on reports from guys like Chip Towers and Chad Simmons. :)

No, but I do read the AJC but I liked the other guy they had doing it better. They say the NFL lockout will probably happen so I wonder if the top JR's will stay in school. I just copied what I saw on Crowell.

I'm pretty confident Wilder still ends up at Fla too.

I was thinking the same exact thing. Unfortunately I'm hearing that the lockout is looking pretty imminent. I would think that there will be a huge dropout in the number of college players who leave school early for the NFL draft. On the other hand that could be a good thing for the 2011 college football season as there will be many talented players stay who would normallly leave for the NFL.

I am just not convinced about anything that involves UGA. And any player that might commit to them now is no gaurantee that they will stay if UGA falters or CMR is gone. UGA fans and writers can talk all they want but until they prove it on the field this fall it is all speculation which is the same crap they have been spewing for the past 2 years. The only reason CMR is still there is because he made his DC the patsy last year. That will not work again.

The year before last they were loaded with O Talent and when we played them the Heisman hopeful Knowshow Moreno got 34 yards so why would any RB want to play in a system under CMR that continues to fail.

Now if IC goes there best of luck to him. If Wilder goes there we will definitely get IC. I still say JW to UF but anything can happen and we are in the top 2 for M Brown but I think Texas for him.

Anything that comes from AJC is complete homerism at its finest for UGA. I have seen fans on their boards write better stuff. Just like JHop said in another post most writers that support a school end up writing the article with bias. If not you think many people would for subscriptions if they always told you you have no chance. Now AJC is free but not very newsworthy.

In the end if UA gets J Allen I will be very happy.

JW to UF or FSu, FSu is more in the mix than most give them credit for.
IC will end up at Bama along with Javorius Allen. Which means Malcolm Brown ends up at Texas with Aaron Green.
