'11 FL RB Andrew Buie

I can't believe I'm gonna agree with SGM about something but I guess I'll risk it...This kid and recruiting RBs this year in general shows you never ever give up on a kid. I know CLT never gives up, I wonder if Terry Joseph is that persistent, we'll see on NSD.

Rising from the ashes again!

Lets get hypothetical here. Say we really impress Lane and Buie on their visits and they want to commit to Tennessee, would we be willing to tell Smith to look elsewhere and take Lane and Buie both? Smith is a good downhill runner, but honestly if the opportunity is there I would much rather have Lane and Buie.

I'm really glad to see we're back in this one...I was bummed when I thought we had decided to pass...

This cat is exactly the speed back we're looking for

I was blown away by this kid's Rivals video...then I realized something...that film has to be from Buie's sophomore year...it was posted on 02/27/2009...that was roughly 6 months before his junior year...

If he was that awesome as a sophomore then I can't even imagine what he's like now...I'd love to see some more recent film of him

Thanks for posting but is that video for real? The first few plays were for a yard or two and one he was tackled behind the line of scrimmage. Then it showed him throwing a couple passes, one for an incompletion :ermm:
So you are suggesting I should have watched it before posting? :)

Sorry about that.

The film ESPN shows for recruits is ridiculous...it's like they take whatever they get and just throw it on there without any type of editing or anything...

What RIvals film shows is true highlight film

Tennessee would take all three if that were to happen.

You should have kept watching, it got worse, I think it was a lowlight film.

Still he had like 3 or 4 good plays on that video, and you can tell how explosive he as well.

It doesn't seem any of TN's top targets are likely to commit. Otherwise, I don't think they would be evaluating Justus Pickett at this point.

I realize that, but we are evaluating Justus Pickett which says we are committed to finding another running back.

I wouldn't get too used to that...may never happen again in our lifetime...GBO!

I highly doubt staff takes 3 RB's this year. All spots left are very precious and we have more pressing needs at other positions than RB.

I agree Sir...what we need is some big uglies and defensive backs...GBO!

Out of the RB's we are trying to recruit, Lane is the one I can see us landing. I think we get Morris, depending on Lane's decision.

according to IC Morris isnt even taking a trip to Knoxville.

We probably cooled off on him since Lane is coming for a visit. I haven't heard much on Morris here lately. I know Lane is interested in Tennessee and has enjoyed getting visits from Hinshaw and Dooley. With Bellamy staying firm to Clemson and them bringing in a new OC, Dooley has a very good chance to sway Lane to Tennessee. I like our chances here.
